Armor and range are also getting nerfed. :(

Apparently being one-shot-able isn't weak enough.

Maybe they are going to up MG damage to 1 point per round?

The 1v will virtually disappear from the game now...well Locusts in general will be rare again. But the 3m is the "winner" in that it was the least nerfed energy based variant.

I'm sad to see them losing much of their leg armor. It was always hilarious to see so many people doing the following:

"OMG, an annoying light! Quick, go for the legs just like every other light instead of actually learning that the torso is a better target on a locust!"

I never had problems taking out Locust.... the key is to NOT aim for the legs (unless they are already red armor). But I guess having a light that didn't fall over when you swept a laser over the legs was too much.

Cheeto got a modest nerf. It will still probably be the best light (aka best of the worst) because the majority of lights are trash, but it is what it is.

Argh, I dropped 4.9 million cbills on my 1V(P) to upgrade and finally play it after the rescale patch made it viable. I knew I shouldn't have bothered. I'm already taking a break from MWO, guess I'll just extend the time some more...

Those whines have been ongoing since the Hankyu's release, and they will pretty much never stop. People still haven't stopped hating the Spider for crying out loud. One or two people even still hate the Raven.

Firestarter was a thing prior to the Cheetah... the thing is that it was touched by our balanced overlord in bad places (or was it the other way around - might as well be the case), so it isn't a thing since post-rescale.

I mean... let's be honest - if you can't aim, you are praising these changes. Tier 5 balanced guys, we need moar mech unicorns!

Weapon duration, weapon velocity, and heat gen quirks need to die imo. But I believe that most weapon/offensive quirks need to go away so that we can get a true balance pass and weapon buff/change for IS (and some clan weapons too) rather then rely on this horrible band-aid system.

But battle-tech and mech designs aren't fair so no matter what there will be a need for structure/armor quirks when they make sense (raven's legs, hunchback's hunch ect.).

From what I can tell the AC is being sorta nerfed. it is putting all the quirks on undesirable components, so now you either lose hardpoints or ECM to get quirks.

Maybe we should just get a Cbills bonus for dropping in a Locust - think of the unused tonnage those dropship Captain's can put to good use!

Try 4 MG's and a TAG, if you live long enough to see armor stripped, dive in of the kill.
