It's not PGI. The game is built on a foundation of bandwith which is steadily shrinking. They cannot hang fiber fast enough to make up for the 3g/4g apocalypse. Now we have something in pokemon which has increased usage dramatically. Great for the cell providers but bad for everyone else.

I am not one to defend PGI but looking at all the monitor websites its pretty obvious its other than them this time.

The most notable of crashes involve the chat buffer. I doubt this upcoming patch actually fixes that.

Basically you and one other person/group chats a lot, and eventually you'll both eventually crash due to a buffer overflow.

The only other type of crashes AFAIK mostly involve the pak files... and it helps once in a while (at least on patch day) to delete all the pak files and redownload them all from scratch with the repair tool. There is some wonkiness in the patch process that doesn't allow the pak files to be read consistently (usually the game extracts the data as needed).

Other kinds of crashes... are usually system related otherwise.

my crashes mostly happen when the game switches to the mapor the startup sequence, or when closing MWO.

Fullscreen windowed fixed the majority of my alt-tab related crashing (map loads). Give it a try if you haven't already.

Just got a new CPU and was having issues. Flashed the BIOS and everything is stable again. Figured I'd throw it out there just in case.

Sounds like issues with the video card, possibly related to your settings (video card and/or game).
