Oooh. A month ago I would have turned my nose up to this, but then I got a 2R in my TT campaign.

6 Missile, 2 ballistic and 2 laser hard points I believe. Stock was 4 x SSRM2's, 2 x ML, 2 MG, 2 LRM15A's. Very fun mech in table top, even if people will just turn it into 6 x LRM5's and ERLL's.

I've been running the the base 3R variant in pre-Lostech MegaMek. I really like it as a fire-support element in a medium lance.

Runs hot as the sun though, must be the most ludicrously undersinked mech ever? 2xLRM15, 2xSRM6, 2xML, 2xMG, with 10 SHS Posted Image. Although strangely it works out OK, if you only use the LRMs as you close the distance, and then switch to using the SRM+ML+MG set.

I guess most Crusader builds could be thrown straight in the Jager-A.

Well, Javelin is a 30 tonner, so it'd be the size of the Arctic Cheetah/Spider/Urbanmech.
So it might not be THAT bad.

Depending on the artwork it also has a big chest and/or arms, that'd make it quite short.

Actually, given PGIs track record of complete lack of self awareness? Now would be the PERFECT time for them to release a Light Mech Pack. With all the apathy, forum rage, need whining, etc about Lights? It's just about as perfect an environment for such an announcement as when they decided to announce Transverse!

Ostscout Pack confirmed!!!!!

So, Stinger Wasp combo pack then?

Scorpion and Goliath double pack?

I respect your persistence.

On topic, I'm definitely leaning towards a light mech IS, tons of good options still, like the stinger, wasp, javelin and valkyrie. They just released the PHX so medium isn't likely, overabundance of heavies, and then the cyclops.

Well despite the Valkyrie being unseen I'd rather the Javelin because the Jav. is simply better in every single way. Bigger engine, better & more plentiful HPs, ecm variant & thanks to the new scaling it'd be shorter & harder to hit because of it's chubbyness.

And being both humanoid and 30 tons, you can already guess it will be similar in size, if not a little smaller due to its chubbiness, to the Arctic Cheetah. An offensively oriented IS 30 ton mech might be what they need.

The one issue with the Jav. is it's a light, which has less perceived value. They'd need to have plenty of variants; which the Jav. has. Otherwise, people will whine about paying for it.

That would be nice but PGI will continue to release mechs because mech packs = money & they are a business.

I'm not convinced revenue from decals will allow/encourage Pgi to put more effort & resources into fixing issues. I guess we'll just have to wait & see.

I went ahead an included all the mechs found in decent numbers for the Inner Sphere around this time period. Feel free to correct me if I missed any as I'm sure you will.

Flea
Hornet
Mercury
Thorn
Wasp
Stinger
Mongoose
Falcon
Hermes
Javelin
Valkyrie
Ostscout
Assassin
Clint
Hermes II
Sentinel
Vulcan
Whitworth
Hatchetdude
Wolf Trap
Wyvern
Chameleon
Dervish
Hoplite
Scorpion
Champion
Ostroc
Ostsoc
Lancelot
Axdude
Bombardier
Exterminator
Crusader
Caesar
Guillotine
Flashman
Charger
Hatamoto Series
Longbow
Striker
Thug
Crockett/Katana
Goliath
Shogun
Annihilator
Imp
Marauder II

Italics denote decent probability of getting in. Bold italics denotes a stronger chance of being seen due to past game inclusion (IE wider appeal). Not receiving bolds or italics means it likely wont show up due to current game engine restrictions.
