Canadian. IDK if Eurpeans do it to, but defintiely a Canadian thing.
Like "EH" at the end of sentences, and Sorry becomes "SOAR-ry", etc. IDK what that's all aboot.

It's dekels. Don't argue.

Dekels > Decals.

Ever since then, people who like fun and enjoy humor use 'deckle' instead of 'decal' because it's comedic and amusing. Some people get a bug up their behind over it, but to those folks I say cluck off. It's not really a regional thing at all; Russ made a boo-boo, but it was a funny and harmless boo-boo that people decided to run with as a feature.
Ergo, MWO has deckles, not decals. Get it straight

I'm not sure why we call them that way but I admit I've been pronouncing them as dek-kel too...

can we get a bomber babe decal of you as a premium priced one?
You're as likely to get that as you are to get one of a bare chested Russ as a chipendales dancer or a topless Putin riding a bear. Sexual objectification FTW!
