The Rapper has 3 Poordubs, which will just amplify the heat issue.

Here is a simulation of the heat efficiency (or lack thereof) of Yeonne's build:
Raptor with 6ML + 2 MPL

Would very likely have that 18% dissipation boost. 8x MedLas is also probably better since you get two more DHS. Speed helps mitigate heat, it's going to be similar to the 6x cERML Jenner IIC.

Minus the JJs or extra much needed armor, or the Clam XL.

And less range, with significantly lower top speed. Agility may be lower as well, depending on how generous PGI is with dem quirks.

I might go as low as 6 ML, but then again I've always liked sustainability over sheer alpha (e.g. Wubhawk).

I'm okay with the Rapper being added to MWO (far from the worst light we could add) but it's important to recognize its deficiencies.

Unfortunately 8 MLs will give you 7.6 bonus heat which is quite significant, 39.60 heat with 12 DHS would be hot!

Jenner IIC typically runs ~15 DHS and would be 36 heat with 6 ERMLs, and that is a hot build!

I thought Russ had a rather negative view on 20 toners, and not that long ago, in a flea thread, one of the guys still at P.G.I said he didn't know what he was thinking, when he proposed the Flea.

Of course they might turn up, because this was only our position at the time, etc etc, but I think its sadly, pretty safe to put a line through any mech under 25 tons.

The Mechlab technician scratching his head trying to figure out why 5 tons of crap won't fit would care...

The Dropship pilot wondering why the ship is too heavy to take off would care...

I wonder why a mech can just grab an arm shot off another mech to bash it with it, which obviosly may weight a few toons, while not being able if slots are left to mount more wepaons in the own arms.

Hey, if the Locust made it in, there's always hope.

That aside, I agree with you. The only way they'd sell mechpacks for 20 tonners is if it was something like a Wasp/Stinger or Flea/Hornet bundle pack where you get two for the price of one.

But we all know they'd probably end up being sold separately like batteries at Christmas.

Very hot, but still usable! :P

I'd probably run 6x ML and 2x SL like I used to on my BJ-1X...pre-quirks with a STD 280.

And if PGI wants my money ever again, they are going to have no choice but to produce 20 and 25 ton 'Mechs.

Because mechs can carry about 20% of their mass in an arm, if you have the rules for it... Yes that means you can have an Atlas use a Locust as a club... to hilarious effects I might add.

I'd probably want to use something more sturdy as a club. Like a glass sculpture or something.

Um...what now? Why would any one mech break the coding any more than another? I don't understand.

When they were originally developing MASC the flea would have (in theory) moved so fast it became almost impossible to hit. But with the improvement of the netcode that's not really an issue anymore. Thus why it's a really lame excuse not to put it in.

I just think they haven't put effort into modeling it because they believe it wont sell well.

So much sadness over the lack of my beloved Hatchetman and Axeman mechs. Hell, I'd take them without the melee weapons. It's still hard to understand how PGI has yet to figure out how to properly implement melee combat.

Trust me, using an enemy Locust to kill an enemy Phoenix Hawk a couple of turns later is priceless... The guy that was across from me was sooooo mad when I did to him....

There are plenty of mechs. Its just that some aren't very desirable.
