Its a good thing the Clans reinvented the Phoenix Hawk as an Assault mech. They took it from a crap medium to a crap assault mech lol. Bravo.

I think what happened was, there were these 2 wrench jockies... (Drunk)... Well they upgraded a crusader into a IIC and forgot they were upgrading a crusader... Looked upon the mech in the factory and said... "Hey joe... What mech is that thing in the hanger?"

"Errr i dont know bob... But errr look at this dun cockpit... It looks like errr a Phoenix Hawk?"

"Ahhh your right joe! It must be a phoenix hawk! i dub thee... Sir Phoenic Hawk IIC"

P.s. On a side note, +1 for saying battle cobra!!!!

Not sure wasting tons on the 11th uac2 makes sense. Rather have 10 uac2 and 12 tons ammo

Honestly you could cram a 12th UAC/2 on it but that left you with 1.5t for ammo... that's using max armour and stock 300xl with FF and Endo...

Still I'd likely put 14MG's on it, and as big of an engine as I can fit on it, for the LULz.

Turkina
Black Lanner
Fire Falcon
Bane
Conjurer
Don't care if these mechs don't "work" with delta strike builds.
Change the game in a way so they can work. Blah blah

This is pretty solid, just wondering why not add the Lupus(60 tons) and the Atlas II(100 tons)? The Atlas II may take forever to be added.

So cap it at locust speeds.
...Or better yet PGI explains what the limitation is so we can point and laugh.

If they do make the Fire Moth I hope they deviate from the weird look of the existing art though. That design looks like a Myst Lynx that was miss-assembled late on Friday night with upside down Ice Ferret blueprints.

Pft. No. Fire Moth is awesome for its upsidedownarms. Actually has a lore reason behind it, too. Was originally designed to have infantry boxes that would mount under those odd arms. The boxes were ditched, but the odd design was retained.

Moving the goal post.

You asked for mechs, not for chassis. Besides, it is not really relevant. Russ stated in the townhalls, that tech is now the main limitation, not timeline.

i dont think adding tech is as hard as pgi would have you believe. the only thing that makes those hard is if those new weapons introduce new mechanics, and even that is probibly a 2 on the 1-10 scale of programming feats. thats assuming you just cant just copy+paste some xml entries. ive seen mods for other games that have teams with capabilities far above what pgi can do, and they dont even get paid. and thats without the luxury of any source code. some teams have even gone to asm level tweaks to abandonware games, just to add features. when source code does exist those teams produce damn fine works.

so when a bunch of people who get paid to do what any one of these modders would call a dream job cant get er dun, i have to call bs on that. and its not like you cant break up the problem and roll it into the mechpack model, couple guns here a new piece of equipment there. monetize it to make it pay for itself and breathe some new life into this stagnant game.

The Atlas II is one of those messy mechs... IS by tech base, but all known units went with Kerensky, I wouldn't put it passed the clans to have upgraded the weapon systems on them to Clan spec...

I'd like to see the Fire Moth (Dasher)... for one as it completes the selection of the original 3050 Omnis and for second as it is a nice counterpart to the Locust.

Girls, please, you're both ugly and this list indicates that the Clans have very few worthwhile mechs remaining within the timeline.

Ah good, more IS mechs for us then ;)
