Playing its typically lower. I see down to 8FPS on Crimson Tide just after the drop. AMD A10-5700 with built in Radeon HD graphics, 3.40 GHz, 10 Gigs of Ram, Windows 7. The built-in graphics only has half a gig as I recall from the specs. Windows 7, and I run the game windowed 1600x900 with the stock field of view. The FPS took a major hit just before "phase 3" patched in as I recall.

As to grand total... no idea. Its in the triple digits that's for sure, given all the caches they were rewarding when they first introduced the system between bonuses for mech packs during one of the double XP/MC purchase promotions and events. I do know I've won a grand total of ONE cache from FW games in the past 9 months. I know I bought the $99.95 MC pack twice during the July and August promotions and that each pack came with 12 mech bays and 38 caches and 38 keys bonus to go with the 25,000MC. That was the last time I purchased MC directly (though I did get some with the steam performance packs I bought on sale in november) and I currently still have over 9k remaining.

:-( that's sad for a fan like you. I'm glad I can play Full HD and in stereoscopic 3D at near 60 FPS.

When do you plan to upgrade? Because my setup is 5yo and I plan to give this one to daughters and build a new setup this year. I have all the parts on a list but just unsure if I go 7700K or wait for next CPU replacing it in a few months.

I might buy a graphics card this year, otherwise its simply not a priority for me for ONE game.

i think that rare drops are weighted to appear less, and when the wheel is spun they are weighted to also have a lower chance of being landed on

that's just my experience

I have opened one rare, then all blues.

What is the worst blue common you could get? That is what you will get. They are junk.

PGI, mate, bro... better odds man. Come on. You have already lost money from me from the sh1t odds.

As a fairly new player (just a few weeks in), I found this thread because I wanted to see if there was a value in opening these. Out of the 6 I was lucky enough to get:
Radar dep module
5000 gxp
Other assorted weapons and gear

The cbills value seemed worthwhile for a new player, and grinding gxp is painful, so that was a nice boost.

But in scanning all these entries, I did not see a single person who actually won a mech with these...

Curiously I was (lucky?) enough to win a Banshee as part of the Lucky Charms event, and was wondering how common that prize was. I guess way easier than getting a mech out of a Suck-ply Cache.

There are other older cache threads, and folks have posted screen caps of their mech wins.

People have won mechs before, but I wouldn't be surprised if it's about a 1% chance or so. Compared to the amount of MC that mech costs it's a pretty big win.

The Radar derp you won would've cost 6million, so that's nothing to laugh at.

As said previously, go into it expecting to get cbills out of the transaction. You'll almost always come out ahead of straight up selling the cache, especially if you use free keys.

I got a good cache with only one outcome I didn't want (the common one) and won 3x keys, so I'm up 2 keys and just need to get some caches to drop for me now to see what I get.

I don't even open the ones that have junk I don't want though.

The WORST content to get is the small laser x 2, which is only 45k to buy them. But I find that's as rare a prize to actually get awarded as a module. The last batch I opened on April 3rd that was in fact the worst item in cache #3 and instead I got an AC/20 which is an uncommon item.

Honestly it depends on the cache. I don't open them if there's obvious bait like crap weapons or 10x AUAV, usually, but always open if there's something rare and the rest decent or better. I've gotten 'mech bays, nice cockpit items, &c. Just wish they'd add other stuff like colors and decals to the mix.

Last week i got one of those with common 50MC prize in them. Cool deal! i open it and i get a rare! its a lump of coal... seriously, they made the lump of coal rare and i won it. I wish i heard a laugh when i opened it, like the halloween warhorn, would have put a smile on my face at least.

The next day or 2 days after i got another common 50mc and i won it this time! "AHAH I WIN AND YOU SUCK MWO!!1!@!"

Next batch of ten... as with the last batch, i'll list the worst item and then the awarded item for each cache.

#1 worst : single medium pulse laser.... awarded : Class 2 Jump Jet x 2
#2 worst : 100k cbills....awarded : C-AC/2
#3 worst : SRM4 x 2... awarded : LRM15 x 2
#4 worst : 100k cbills.... awarded : 100k cbills
#5 worst : SRM4 x 2... awarded : LB-10X
#6 worst : 50MC.... awarded : UAC/5
#7 worst : 250k cbills.... awarded : 250k cbills
#8 worst : lrg pulse laser... awarded : lrg pulse laser
#9 worst : 50MC.... awarded : C-Lrg Pulse laser
#10 worst : 50MC.... awarded : clan ECM

All commons which is unusual for me but still... a bunch of items I will eventually use on mech builds and the 100k cbill awards were actually the lowest value ones.

Next batch of ten...feeling lazy on typing out worst cases...but it was nine commons totally around 1.5 million cbills value, and one rare of a 5,000 GXP.

The Supply cache roulette wheel is fixed..... If it gets near stopping on a rare item that you would normally have to pay big MC for... it purposely moves on to a more common item... Sell your caches and don't waste your time or mc on them

The wheel is not fixed. The prizes are already predetermined, with common item being most likely choice. You can skip the wheel animation entirely.

Yep.

Also I incline to share this video on why it's better to just sell them if you don't have any free keys to use from events:

The only ones I open from time to time, are the ones which have 50MC in them. Usually I break even that way, but I've yet to get something better than "uncommon".

So first of all, i must remind you that supply cache keys are a common event rewards, from tuk3 we got like 40 of em, 10 from this memorial day event, so you can just save caches and open em when you'll get free keys.
Apart from that, I note every thing I got from caches to see if it's viable to unlock them with mc. So in 12 caches I got:
Erll (x2), ac10, mechbay, ac5, ac5 (x2), narc, lrm15(x2), narc, lpl (x2), beagle active probe, adv arty (x10), srm4.
12x25=300mc I spent on opening caches.

Counting only MC prizes, I recieved:
300+150=450mc.
And pretty good amount of weapons/cbills if I'll sell everything.

So I'm surely going to open almost every Cache I'll get later on. (unless all 8 prizes in particular cache are utter garbage i don't need. In that case you should sell this cache, obviously.)
