Here is my mock up. Four camouflage choices... arctic, temperate, hostile and parade. Each map is designated based on the environment, so the camouflage pattern and colours assigned to it are loaded when that map is selected. The parade camouflage has a percentage chance to be selected on any map. Voila... a viable way for us to spend Mech Credits! You are most welcome, PGI. My pleasure.
So, in the image above you have four camouflage patterns. The arctic one you might use colours as in the image... light blue, white and gray. The arctic pattern would be associated with Polar Highlands, Frozen City, etc. The Hostile pattern would be set up for HPG Manifold, Terra Therma, etc. You might use greys, blacks, or a dull colour like dark blue, purple, etc.
This essentially allows a player to choose the camouflage appropriate for the expected terrain, as well as colours to match to blend into it better. If they so choose to load up on the Parade Pattern, as well, they could go all out with a bright scheme. The Parade camouflage would override the assigned camouflage on a percentage basis, say 25%... for variety.
Personally, I have a few thousand Mech Credits that have been collecting dust for a few years now, and I'm looking for a way to spend them. PGI... I would spend Mech Credits on this if it were part of the game. Just sayin'...
