Ironically what little lore (or merely BT flavor) that they do bother with is the little vignettes they put forth with each new hero mech that they put out for sale. The reality is that this is the ONLY aspect of lore that they bother with, and only to sell hero mechs. Tell ya what PGI, put more lore in and maybe folks would buy more than the occasional hero mech. Maybe they might buy in to the whole "a battletech game" idea? Silly I know. Nevermind. I will go back to my island and hope that it has sufficient reception so that I might tune in to the awesomeness of this e-sport.

That is kinda unlikely to happen.
It would be back to being a hobby, than it is an actual job (yes, the top two are paid by PGI).
Yes, I think it's been open knowledge for awhile that they're paid shills. The good thing is that if/when it transforms back to a hobby, it's no longer insultingly shoved into everyone's faces.
"We speak for dah communiteh1111!!!!!"- Paid shills for MWO with a forum that's not as active as the regular Battletech forums or HBS's Battletech forums.

Which, quite frankly is a contratrarian sentiment.
A strong, stirring back story about a mech can drives sales through emotional attachement. Even if the mech does not live up to the hype.
Look at car commercials...

My only hope is that they have been working on it and it will be added in a big way some day.
I'm sure the trolls will tear it apart though for not being the sucktastic that they want.
I agree with this topic but the trolls are so off the leash with this game they tear apart everything and anything it does. I'm sure the addition of lore/story will be no different.

Well, actually...if done right Lore could sell a lot of 'Mechpacks. And they allreay tried the concept with the Cyclops, turning a "Loreitem" into an actual item. There are many stories about certain unique features of certain 'Mechs that PGI could "translate" into MWO and with that finally make every 'Mech truly unique. It could even serve to create some sort of Role Warfare.
But yeah, I know. I said it myself. "...if done right..."

MWO is more about mechs and less about everything else... thats hy its pretty much revolving all around mech packs and mechs....

and an excuse to make the people who like lore to stab each other over why you cant have a mech. IE timeline
Best thing to do is abandon the time line. Have FP start in 3025. Advance over time. Mechs played legally in the time frame get a bonus. Those outside of it, ie, in the future, don't get any bonus. FP season goes until the decided end date. Objectives and goals are set out on the map, points are scored. Alliances made. Start it over again Lots that could be done.
Ideally have multiple phases. Invasion. Operation Bulldog. IS votes on which Clan to sally forth to their home world. All IS factions can attack and defend in Clan space as part of the fleet.

When new mechs are released for C-Bills, give factions which have more factories than other factions a C-Bill discount.
Still not sure why established faction specific mechs in the Lore aren't given a C-Bill discount for those factions while they have the factory. This lets the factory be taken, giving the owning faction the discount that faction would have.
Everyone should be asking in the round table why there is ZERO depth in FP.
