I thought I would make a list of all the Mechs (with a few exceptions) that exist in lore that are not currently in the game.....Meh, really for no reason. Just for those who are interested I guess.

I'm not even hating on the Roughneck. Lots of MechWarrior games have had their own mechs or had their own mechs in expansions/bonus content.

1. I used http://masterunitlist.info to gather all of my info for purposes of lore and timeline.

2. I didn't include any Mechs equiped with melee weapons in their stock loadouts on any list as MWO doesn't have a melee combat system.

3. I didn't include any quad Mechs on any list because there aren't currently any in MWO and I doubt they are ever going to be introduced.

4. I selected only bipedle Mechs with at least one active variant in lore as of 3053.(Current MWO game year)

5. I did not include IS OmniMechs because there aren't any in the game currently and I feel like they probably never will be. (And to be honest in 3053 it wasn't many)

6. I left off Mechs that the master unit list stated were extinct during the clan invasion and Mechs that only had one variant if that varient was listed as "experimental tech level". (It was maybe??? 3 Mechs)

7. I didn't take into consideration the possible "unseen" nature, the rarity, or faction of the Mechs' origin with the exception that clan Mechs had to have shown up in the availability list of clans that participated in the invasion in some capacity (wolf, jade falcon, ghost bear, smoke jaguar, and later nova cat, steel viper, hell's horses, diamond shark, and in very limited capacity snow raven)

8. Mechs in the IS list marked with a "*" have at least one variant listed as active in one of the before mentioned clans' toumans. (This does not include IIC variants as they are often different enough to be considered a different mech entirly and are therefore mentioned on their own where appropriate)

9.Old Star League Mechs that are still active in clan toumans are not listed if the IS had not rediscovered or started reproducing them by 3053.

I want extinct mech pack such as the Firebee, Alfar, Lynx, Dragoon, Battle Axe, and Hammerhands, cause technically they have current tech loadouts.

I'd think of a scathing remark, but it's 6 AM and I haven't slept at all. My eyes hurt.

I hope you die in a boiling vat of spoiled whale semen and spiders made out of rusty barbed needles, then and only then do you have my permission to sleep. I'll smash your gundumbs and your pretty mechas. Flashy lights and child pilots pail in comparison to overwhelming down to earth coordinated fire power and pure old man hate. Prepare to be purged.

aha I knew that looked familiar for some reason- the season 2 rescue mission one right?

edit- TBH I thought in the beginning it had promise but the whole 'ok everyone's at the top lvl now" jump ruined it. I did like the gun game virtual fighting mini arc but that was about it.

You should probably put a mark next to mechs that carry weapons that aren't available in game.

For example, all the variants for the Naga carry Arrow IV Artillery and I think there is an IS mech that's dedicated to carrying Arrow IVs too but I don't remember the name.

Of course they could use all non-canon variants without Arrow IVs but then you have to ask the philosophical question of "Is a Naga without Arrow IVs truly a Naga?".

If you want to see an anime that does what people expected to do SAO but didnt, then watch Log Horizon. It does everything SAO was suppose to do and does it better. And while your at it, give GATE a watch too.
