That just sounds like internet insanity, or to be more precise, yet another day on internet forums.

You don't read much do you? It's obvious satire. Go read A Modest Proposal by Jonathan Swift and suddenly it'll be obvious.

Also, if you've seen the way Yellow posts in previous topics then you'll notice the discrepancies.

I'm 100% behind c-bill focused Repair/Rearm, ESPECIALLY in Faction Warfare.

BUT OH HELL NO to real money RnR.

Perhaps, but given how that type of post and the attitude it reflects was basically the bread and butter of the community warfare forum for well over a year (and it often spilled into other forums, too), it just isn't funny anymore. Or, perhaps more accurately, it wasn't far enough "out there" to really register as humor since nearly as idiotic things were proposed with dead seriousness before around these forums. An argument could be made that the exact attitude reflected (seriously or not) in the OP's post is a direct cause of the near death of FP, and I'm sure far too many of us have run into clowns that believe this stuff.

If it was a joke, than I retract my responses, but given the nature of the internet and the nature of far too many gamers these days, it is difficult to tell without making the intended sarcasm WAY more obvious than what was written.

There is a good way to monetize the game besides selling mechs, colors, camos and so on.
Ruining your mech shouldn't be free! Or rather, it shouldn't be free if you're a Bad.
Let's say that it would cost 25 MC to repair a mech after being destroyed (hold on!), but in every match the six best players in each team get 25 MC.
Like what you hear? Players that are good would build up a bank of MC so they could repair for free, while the bads would not, so they would have to get some MC for repairs.
Of course this could feel a bit harsh, making the Bads pay.
So I also propose that all players initially get 250 MC so that they can have a small buffer to start with, that way they will have a few matches until they will have to pay for repair.
That's it really, get the Bads to pay for the game, you know that's what you want!

Edit.. On second thought that was a bod joke.

I'll just say No

Sorry guys, sometimes my desire to troll by satire becomes too much... it's just that satire is a good way to troll and it sometimes even leads to a proper discussion. I hope nobody got upset for real! Posted Image

Don't believe me? Read the initial letters in the OP.

K-town, here we come!

Fair is fair - I retract my responses that assumed you were serious.

That being said, given how there are actual nuts out there who'd support such a punishment for all the "horrible players" in this game, you'll probably have to go WAY over the top next time for people to see your satire for what it is.

My apologies for any offense since I thought you were serious and "one of them" - the types who are great at video games but who fail at life.

You know... if it's satire, and noone recognizes it off the bat.. it's not very good.

Gotta work harder for good satire.

Otherwise the Mist Lynx armoured agenda would propagate quickly.

I'd say it's better when it's close to what some people would like.
Call it a sanity check on the forums, if we get people actually making a post agreeing with things like this... we'd be in trouble.

No, good satire is good when people don't realize it's satire until they read it and break it down. Take A Modest Proposal for instance, when reading it it's not apparent that it's satire until nearly halfway through. That's good satire, containing good amounts of irony and sarcasm.

Perhaps, but the fundamental is... if a joke has to be explained, it's failed.

I remember seeing on wow forums during wotlk something that said basically this.

Blizzard should add to license agreement clause stating that if you wipe on festergut normal(easiest boss in icc pretty much) they become owners of all your possesions and you will owe them another 500k $.

Btw mind you, you wouldnt get into icc10 without 5.5k gearscore, while instance itself would give you something around 5350-5400.

You think OP pushes it too far?? youve seen nothing my son.

Man, I was sure that my last post would fan the flames. I guess I have to break out the Godwin stuff next time.

I suspected troll, so figured I should feed it and find out.
