It needs to be nerfed until John Q. Badmech can kill it more than it kills him.
I am likely one of the worst players still playing this game. Yet until this thread, I had no idea that the AC in its current form (yes it was OP when it dropped) was considered OP by anyone.
In any case: Stop nerfing things. Any things. If there is a problem, by all means buff under performers, but stop nerffing.

But I posted video showing half enemy team trying to take down a lone ACH running around in the middle at 69%, overheats while getting blasted but still lives on to fight a bit more.
And yet people were still in denial about.
Then later Russ confirmed that the ACH hitboxes were indeed borked.
But now it goes down like any other light.
I still haven't got a "I'm sorry you were right" lol

They just die to it because most players are so incredibly bad.
All of that has nothing to do with a chassis or op mechs or weapons.
Ppl die to anything. Most ppl take about 5 minutes to even realize they are taking dmg and another 10 mins to even start to look around to find out where the attacker might be.
How can you even balance anything when the ppl themselves should be patched first....

That's what happens when you have nobody shooting legs on a lights. Maybe one guy was shooting legs. Seriously... doesn't prove anything except that the people shooting him were at best, having a bad day.

Quoted for truth, PGI doesn't think a 25 or 30 tonner should be able to kill anything on the field. They want us out there winning the non existent INFO WARFARE!
ACH is no where near OP, its just still as good as it was when all the other lights got Huge and worse. So it didnt change when all other mechs got worse which is why it seems so good right now. This is all part of PGI not understanding their own game, how it works, what makes a mech good or bad. They are just pissing into the wind and then wondering why their shoes stink.
These are the exact reasons why i refunded my Night Gyr pack, i cannot give money to a company like this anymore. Constantly making bad decsion or decision that are counter to what your Community wants, constantly killing any thing fun or decent in the game. Russ just posted that he thinks the Alpha Limit will help made the LBX a GOOD weapon.
This just goes to show he doesnt understand his own game, he doesn't get what PPFLD is, he doesn't get why the LBX is a bad weapon and he thinks that gimping the rest of the field will just make crappy stuff better. The LBX doesn't magically become better because of power draw. Unless we can fire 2 of them for 30 where an AC10 would be one at 30 this isnt going to fix anything, just limits your builds and makes the weapon harder to use.
Russ is the reason this game is floundering, he is holding it back with his VISIONS and tenuous grasp on the game.

TLDR: Russ is bloody idiot killing his own game with 'good' ideas.

They were shooting his legs, look at how much the leg paper doll was flashing then the game registered the leg damage a half second after the hits happened and most the damage transferred to the torso instead as you can see the lasers were making contact well below cotpit from the ACH point of view also play the video in 0.25 speed and you'll notice a good bit of the lasers hit him but doesn't light the paper doll or register the damage to armor or structure.

I got my leg blown off yesterday in an ACH at yellow armor with fresh internals with one good 5x AC5 hit from a mauler.
Hit reg is to blame, not the mech. PGI's shoty code and great IDEAS! Sometimes its your friend, but most times its rubbish.

I see a lot of spread damage, and not a lot of focus fire. Heck, the legs weren't being targeted primarily.
Why am I supposed to see bad aiming vs Lights?

I'm afraid you're the one in denial
Look at the Terribads you're playing with, and judge the match again.
"Takes a lot to make him red" as he takes less than 10% damage
Seriously, you realise you need to HIT the robot in order to deal damage, right? Not whiff every other shot.
