13.5 energy for splash damage that is arguably negligible. Players just assume 10 damage out of them as is.
If the alpha limit is 30, can we simply remove the splash for 15 points and 15 energy? A remainder of 3 points of energy is not usable and actually places clans at a disadvantage over IS equivalents who can pump out 30 pin point damage using three PPCs (which generate less heat).

Then just raise the recycle time. Imo it's just nonsense for punishing a weapon system cause of useless splash dmg and extra heat of that. And PGI should get rid off IS ppc minimum range really.

It might be ammoless but it's not DHSless. More weight.

90m min range
You don't have to be a rocket scientist to see how OP it would be for cER PPCs to do 15 damage.

yes its kinda not ok the way it is, they should drop the energy consumption to like 11.5 and thats okish.
if you compare what you get then its quite fine
is: 3PPC: 30PPdamage 45 heat
clan: 3PPC 30PPdamage + possibly 15splashdamage woth 7.5 max per location) 47,25 heat,
thats feels kinda okish in comparison.
personally I liek the splash damage idea, maybe they should give the is also 1 splash damage so thatt heir erppc does 12 damage. I don't get why PPC stick so much with the TT values while lasers and their heat was adjusted already so often.
