My 980ti only runs at 50%, even in sli both will run at 50% or under unless on the drop deck or end game screen!


It's this problem, with no work around.

Yeah I always liked how my 680 could run any modern game on the highest setting possible but for MWO it dropped down to 20 FPS.

I have a GTX 560 and never get issues with FPS drop in MWO. Have you gone through the standard troubleshooting spiel?

MWO and Crytek games in general are CPU limited more than GPU limited. A 980 is overkill for a gpu for MWO, but what kind of proc do you have?

any ideas what i should do?

I've reinstalled mwo many times, up to date drivers that i have reinstalled and running dx11. sli doesnt work in dx9

For more recent NVidia drivers, you need to force the NVidia profile for this game to use "Prefer Maximum Performance" for the Power Management Mode.

Otherwise, the game is way too CPU limited.

thanks but unfortunately it has no effect.

I might set the sli to alternate rendering. I'm using vsync with tripple buffering but without vsync it makes no difference its still around 50%

I don't think SLI is optimal for this game. If there's an option to just use one video card, then you should select that option.

I'd say your issue lies in SLI, I don't think I've ever heard of anyone having a good time in MWO with SLI.

I ran an SLI rig that worked just fine with it, but it would never load balance, one card would typically be pushed a lot harder than the other one.

OP, sounds like your rig is good, what framerates are you actually getting?

I vsync to 60fps as my monitors a dell ips 1440p at 60hz.

im using a multi monitor setup so prefer to use fullscreen but ill quickly try windowed.

i'm also on 5760x1080... trust me use full screen window...

this game doesn't tell the GPU to use full speed especially in SLI...

okay after some tinkering i've managed to get them both working at 100%, long story short vsync was being forced even though it was turned off
