They were actually out before the clan invasion however only a few were made due to engine shielding issues. The first ones in combat were actually during the clan invasion on the IS side. They used salvaged vultures to complete the plans for this mech. So you will not see it until AT LEAST the clan invasion starts.

I like the Bushwacker as well, very reminiscent of the A-10 Thunderbolt II close air support jet (at least from the TRO 3058 images) and could deal ranged support like one too. Unfortunately it isn't introduced until 3053, as mentioned above, because it needed clan tech to make it work.

From sarna:
"The Bushwacker's unique design caused problems with the engine shielding, the side-effects of which manifested themselves as various gremlins in the 'Mech's on board electronics on the prototypes fielded during the Clan Invasion. The 'Mech was redesigned after schematics for an OmniMech known as the Vulture were captured during a raid into Clan territory. Information gleaned from the schematics was used to overcome the aforementioned engine shielding problems."

balls, that sucks, ive been playing the MW games since Mech 2 when i was like 8 years old, and aside from the Couldrn Borne which is a clan mech i dont expect to see, i love the bushwacker, which is mainly used as a defence mech on the outlines of firebases, its an awesome little mech, i like having an LBX 10 with a pair of SRMs and a large laser for city maps and close combat, then you can change to an AC10 with the large laser and a LRM 10 and an LRM 5 for long range fire support, def a tough little medium mech that i loved sporting in MW3 then again in MW4

thanks for the info tho, ive read Mechwarrior books and played dark age table top, (actual have a lryain Centurion figure) but this freaking game looks beautiful, i still cant believe microsoft let this franchise go by the way side, so glad the people at smith and tinker(FASA) got the right back, and as far as the unseen goes, i love robo tech, but come on you cant lay clam to such simple mech designs, at some point theres gonna be mech that look alike in different univers, harmony gold needs to get off their high horse and let Smith and Tinker have their mechs back, since Robotech hasnt been on the air since the late 90s

I loved the Bushwacker in MW3, but I have a feeling the MWO equivalent won't play anywhere near the same way I outfitted mine way back when: 12 Flamers, tons of Double Heat Sinks, the best XL Engine, + MASC, + JJs. No armor on the arms.

It'll be great to see it again, regardless.

I think the hardpoint system would prevent you from having that many flamers, but that build sounds like it was fun.

well that build and the strider with 14 er small lasers where troll in online game play with MW3, i mean its pretty bad when a strider runs up to a Super Nova, hits him with all 14 er small lasers and completely blows off one of your arms in one alpha, then your other with a second alpha which wasnt that far appart due to the small lasers low cd, and low heat, then 3 alphas to the chest and your gone, even with max refective armor they still did way to much dmg, i honestly hated MW3 online, mech4 was alittle better, aside from the 8 ER Large Laser Nova Cats, that walked over the ridge of the hill fired an alpha then backed behind the hill before you could re aim from the shock of geting hit so hard, just lamer tactics, i hope this game avoids that, i wanna see mechs brawling, shuting down to avoid radar and using scouts on their team to strike togeather to drop a mech in an instant. rather then using the lamer tactics i said earlyer to just rack up KDRs

Oh man, I used to pack 50-60 tonne 'Mechs full of small/medium lasers in MW3 to that effect; little armour, large engine, MASC and lots of heatsinks. My MW4 Bushwacker had two Light Gauss rifles... completely different play style (hopefully I'll be able to build something similar in MWO)

Well, you can simulate most of a bushy's weapon load outs likely on a Hunchie, Centurion or Dragon chassis. Of course, it won't look like a Bushy but then again you can't see your 'Mech's profile when inside the cockpit.

This, sir, is a very wise statement!
All of us that like this or that Mech can likely find something similar in loadout (especially given all the different variants) and we do not see our Mech from the outside.
+1 from me

Sadly you can't emulate its low profile.

Well, if it was a coincidence, they may have let us have it, but we actually purchased the rights for tthose mechs in Japan. The company that made them was bouht by HG in USA and we didn't own the rights for them here. Noone noticed until one of teh HG's companies balantly ripped off our Mad Cat, we suead them and HG found out about the missing license...

I don't think boating like this is going to be possible in MWO mostly due to hardpoints.

I know the Timeline is important , maybe the first 12 months will see little introduction to new mechs because of the time line but after that it isnt going to be that pratical to adhere to timeline/lore concerning introduction of new mechs , nobody producing this game is going to say yeh we will introduce your fav mech in about 10 years to allow the right timeline/lore for the right mech ,

So I assume expansions or the like will introduce new mechs etc which will not follow the time/line lore exactly for 1 real year and 1 year in the time/line lore . that would be so daft , so expect the timeline to be accelerated at times to coincide with expansions  .
