Heya everyone! Got a new PC and realised I havent played this game in ages after I took a break last year. So what is new? Anything I should be concerned about with my old school mech builds etc?

Whats the current meta still laser vomit?

Nothing is new, all your mechs are nerfed and there are no new ways to play....

All you can do is buy new mechs do the same old things with them and wait till they get nerfed also....

I recommend if you want to be ahead of the curve download PTS and check out the new power draw. I am holding back buying or building until its complete and released as it may effect a lot of builds.

Past that its pretty same o, Just the new flavors of the month like the KDK which all exploiters love for inflating their scores.

No point when it's constantly tested in a vacuum using the incorrect numbers anyway (4v4)

a lot of changes to maps and modes

voting is a pain

they are slowly chipping away at the game fun factor but its still fun in QP

everything else is sort of a pain to deal with

The meta is more diverse now, at least in the Solo-Q. Las-vomit is still effective, but not all dominating anymore.

They need to set up a pts event that pots rewards in your main account, and that will get a few more people on it at least...also set up linkage through the basic client instead of an 8 gig reformat of the game... That kills a lot of interest I figure.

I guess fanatic black and white knigths with blind hatred and praise can tell you.

IMO. MWO is getting there, improves sloooowly but steadily, though PGI have still a distance to go. Im all for the Power Draw, sure needs tweaking. As long as it can make TimeToKill longer and make both generalist/ mixed and specialist/ boat builds viable, its a huge step in the right direction. Until then enjoy Alphastrike warrior
