So I've been looking around and reading up on Ghost Heat, and can find all sorts of tables and numbers, but I didn't see an answer to what I consider to be the most basic question:
What counts as firing "at the same time" or an alpha strike?
If I have 4 C-LPL and group them 2 and 2 and hit both triggers at the same time, I would assume that counts?
So how long before I fire group 1 do I have to wait before I fire group 2 to avoid the additional heat?

You could also activate chainfire by pressing backspace and push both triggers.
Then it fire the weapons atomatically in (i think) 0.5.

correct, if you HOLD down the trigger for a fire control group that is set to chain fire then it will space out shots in half second increments.
On a related note, for some weapon types (definitely lasers, might be all energy) if you start tapping a trigger that is set to chain fire then you can actually chain fire faster than the built in .5 sec delay you get if you simply hold down the trigger.
