Yeonne Greene theres no one that cant play that game.....

You're going to fire your more powerful weapons at a range where they do full damage to my half and by the time I've covered the ground to GET into range, you and your friends have widdled my heavy mech to a light... pinpoint wasn't needed because you're already doing enough damage to overwhelm my mech....from a distance I cant respectfully retaliate.

But that's not what happens in application except on the worst designed maps (i.e. Boreal Vault) because there is ample concealment to close the gap without getting shot at any worse than you would shoot them up. Furthermore, there are plenty of Inner Sphere 'Mechs which bring mass ERLL that do the same thing, often better owing to superior mount points for the weapons. In fact, Inner Sphere 'Mechs are the ones chosen in comp games, specifically the Grasshopper, for that exact role. Are you going to try to tell me that they are wrong?

Battlemaster You lack basic understanding of what a "fact" is. Keep building your strawmen, I'll keep knocking them down.

Yeonne, you're giving hypotheticals, I'm talking probability. Turn your own argument around on itself- given that IS will do much better in a brawl than it will at range, does it make any sense whatsoever to attempt to close with clan mechs and brawl? Of course not! You already know you can win at range! Given the choice, you'll hit all day long from distance.

There is a difference between discussing strategies vs outright superior equipment. The "cons" of clan tech are of such little concern compared to the pros that they may as well be nonexistent. It doesn't really matter "in theory" if the IS pulse does more pinpoint when you can mount more firepower via omnipods on a clan light than some IS heavies....

I'm not giving you hypotheticals, I'm giving you application. What I described is exactly what happens in matches when both teams know what they are doing. The only upsetting factor, really, is the damn Kodiak. Before the Kodiak, the two sides were pretty equal.

The balance is fine atm. IS could use some more interesting 95-100 tonners but otherwise its fine.
Night star, thunderhawk, cerberus, devastator, marauder II, pillager, mackie with inflated hardpoints, etc.

SlyJJ, please look at the heavy leaderboards right now, and see how the top 5 in almost every heavy mech (except for 2-3 really bad ones) are all within 100-200pts of each other, regardless of IS or Clan. The Hellbringer is the highest right now at 4.2K followed closely by the Warhammer at 4K.

Ultimately, until you change your playing habits, your builds, and perhaps improve your aim, you will continue to think clan OP because you are not utilizing your IS mechs to their full potential.

It makes me sad how relatively poorly the Marauder is doing.

Also, why the hell does the Warhammer 7S get a 15% laser duration quirk? Like, seriously, take it away from my Blackjacks and Locusts but then give it to a tank 70 ton 'Mech with high mounts? Bull.
