What happened to the little wings? Maybe my eyes deceive me but aren't there 3 hardpoints shown in the pics?

Also, what are on the shoulders? Looks almost like srm 3s : )

I think I'm gonna start with the 5K: and attempt to be the most annoying tagger EVER. 2xMG + TAG. trolololol. O and get in a team first, since pugging like that without having some certaincy to coordinate with an LRM buddy on my side makes it utterly useless.

Good luck with that! I see ya like a challenge. Though nowadays, stumbling on LRM-boats isn't that rare a thing.

The current game files list the Spider 5D as the ECM variant. It has 3 Energy Hardpoints, 1 AMS Hardpoint, and 8 Jump Jets. This of course is subject to change at patch time.

Even with the ECM, due to lack of hardpoints Spider is going to be at the bottom of the light mech`s food chain.

The only positive side is maybe it may serve as an incentive for the Devs to improve jump jets and machineguns. To stand a chance against Streaks, the jump jests would have to be so fast that they would break missile lock. And two machineguns should be equally effective as a single Streak SRM-2.

And at lest it`s going to be cheap :-)

Since the Stalker's awesomely low twist ability started really mixing up the old skool TT's 'a mech's weight is all that matters', I'm really hopefull the Spider gets delivered with a ton of flavor. Some extra twist and wriggle would really help it stand out as something fresh. Try circle dancing that that in your Raven...

Why would i use this when my Comando has 3 s smrs and one m laser and runs over 120 with the speed tweak.....?

Ok , looks realy awesome , but its Dmg output makes it obsolet imho. You must be Hardcore scout to enjoy running around and killing none .

The Spider seems like a role filler 'mech for a role that currently doesn't exist in the game as of yet.

THat being said, it still takes approximately 4 times the ammount of work to animate a quadruped mech beacuse you have to considerate the legs relation to eachother and to the torso, and especially on slopes, this becomes very complex. It's not a fun thing to do, and this is the precise reason quadrupeds were left out of MW4, and will be left out of MWO

Hmm... Spider a mech I can test putting a 300xl engine in with double heat sinks and endo steel wonder how fast I can make it go but its still only going to be armed with twin Med Pulse lasers ( unless we get the venom version ) but will have close to max armor
