After last night I would say this battle is just starting to heat up. Hats off to MJ12, ARC7, and BCMC for showing up to fight us
I apologize for length here, but the comment above about weak leadership has prompted this communique. ARC7 (Arctotherium Winter) is a new Unit currently with 93 pilots and we have only now begun to recruit publicly. When we acquiesce it is not because of weakness. When we engage in battle with you, you will know we are not cowardly or dishonorable. We have always wanted good fights, but when we were ready.
"Repaid through loyalty undying and Character unflinching."
"To tread without care is to court disaster."
In a War where motive is the most unseen and lethal variable, particularly at the highest level, it is easy to substitute one's own perspective - which could be partially or entirely incorrect, or correct entirely. Transparency is refreshing. ARC7 (Arctotherium Winter/7th Brigade) understands the nature of the traditional, historical War, and we understand the nature of the current internal Clan conflicts. ARC7's founders signed up for the departure of our home Planet because this is our Great Work. Internal conflicts between leadership based on this dynamic variable cannot sap our Unit's focus and mission. And, it is a difficult pill to swallow to be thrust into a Unit affecting decision to choose loyalties between other Ghost Bear allies and the influences and decisions of outside entities.
Our sustained defense of Grumium last night first took a few hours to muster the pilots needed with an ARC7 majority. By then, you had 23% of the planet via Ghost Drops. Grumium is not a planet that was previously taken by Merc numbers within Ghost Bear during the Rasalhague planetary assaults, so taking a planet purely by Ghost drops is also a BNB tactic as well as raw Kodiak gen/canon rushes. We defended, first-most, because Clan Wolf is indeed about to cut off Ghost Bear advancements in what appears to be a straight line push for Terra, whether that happens or not is irrelevant. It is our current perspective, motives notwithstanding. Second, we defended Grumium because ARC7 grilled a lot of BBQ, enjoyed the smell of Napalm in the morning and drank a lot of Grumium ale after having our tag on the planet for many attack phases. Third, we have the Warden spirit.
Ragnar Baron, we were surprised more Ghost Bears did not care at all for the defense of this planet with the exception of those you mentioned above, and - Jep and the 12th Bear Guards who also showed their honor and determination with what numbers they could muster for the time they had. Jep is cashing the check with his *** that his mouth wrote. Our sustained defense did not stop your Unit but it was slowed and BNB-Wolf took it achieving 53%. The few dozen ARC7 pilots throughout the night you all fought were new and experienced mixes including some with Trial mechs. With other Ghost Bear allies, we gave you many lengthy battles and exercised numerous tactics to test your weaknesses, knowing our battles from the beginning would be lopsided, random pilots with no training in our numbers dropping also notwithstanding.
We were also surprised some Ghost Bear Units, motives and internal conflicts notwithstanding, would not suspend their training, put their new mechs and shiny spoils down for one night, extend their training to the FW battlefield, and/or would allow underwhelmed and new Units be meat shields for their hibernation, honor and self-preservation at the expense of Ghost Bear as a whole. While this is disconcerting, we persist with our Ghost Bear Loyalist brothers, and we try not to attribute incorrect motives.
Seeing Ghost Bear insignia on your Wolf Unit mechs all night made our battles feel like a good ole' Irish family feud that always ends with with greater appreciation for the mutual strengths we all share and a deeper conviction or brotherhood and friendship - complete with a totally transparent understanding of motive. We salute BNB's strength and use of the Kodiak in battle and greatly appreciate the fights and the respect you showed us on the Battlefield. While I greatly appreciate GC Jep's disdain for merc's trying to influence the future of all Clans - because motive is purchased by the highest bidder or is supra, ARC7 would diplomatically encourage Reconciliation particularly with Ghost Bear BNB and Clan Ghost Bear until all motives are laid out on the table and we know who the true Ghost Bear Loyalists really are.
Concerning the heated battles ahead, Operation Revival will come. The 5th Wave will ensue. November is on our doorstep.
