Based on my analysis of individual performance in quick play, inebriation may *improve* the performance of some players...

...especially when they are working towards completing the event objectives
Nice event so far. Strange as it may sound, but I'm starting to like being pushed out of my comfort zone. Getting those KMDDs with mediums and lights is a bit of a challenge, as I'm a terrible light pilot and a mediocre medium pilot at best, but so far I'm resisting the temptation to take the easy route and complete those objectives in scouting. It's good to see that PGI is taking a more creative approach to evens.

I like this game but in the past months these events just pull me out, they are all just disguised uncomfortable challenges that make you regret getting free mc, mechs or items.
Yesterday I had my 4 KMDD on all weight classes and it was not registered. I waited, I waited and I waited... nothing.
I am pulling out of this mechtoberfest now, you miss one day and I understand you will not be able to finish this long lasting challenge completely. No one needs those trinkets anyway. They are cool, but not essential.
PGI seems not to care individually about anyone on this event... and some others. We have read other cases like this in the past and they have not fixed the issue for everyone.
First time this thing felt like a job and maybe that was the odd thing about the whole October mechfest.
Congrats to those who will go on. Usual gaming for me, since I "failed" the first day and got wasted. I got some mechs to level up, so that could be it for these days.

So you waited till the end of the game, saw the KMDD in the result page, and even after the next full hour it wasn't registered on the event page? Odd
I play this event just like i play everytime else. Take a Mech from one weight class that needs leveling, play till i get the "first victory of the day"-bonus, choose another chassis. Maybe this time i take a closer look to the KMDD counter to switch not only chassis but also weight class.

If you are feeling guilty about playing the game and winning free stuff, that is not the fault of PGI. If there is something outside the challenge and game you felt was important, maybe you should reassess your priorities, and focus on what is outside the game. Example: Don't miss out on life for the game!

Did you read the part about it updating on the hour? That is why they are saying it may take up to an hour to update the chart. If it has been two or three hours there is a problem, and contact support.
Also it possibly is not operating on your exact timezone. Mine started at 1800 hours the night of the 30th. See the fancy counter they have on the event page too.

So you're pulling out, but also you are not (see the part I quoted below where you said you will just level mechs). And which issue in specific are you talking about, cause the delay in reporting scores has been addressed. If you have technical issues contact support.

If the game feels like a job then again please reassess why you play. First and foremost it is a game. Submit your techical issues to support so they can have a chance to fix them. Otherwise keep leveling mechs and be happy, cause you will keep earning rewards for the event. No opt in or special shining mech required.

I don't think you have to accomplish all the challenges to get the items and MC. You only need:
- 12 Play a day challenges to get ALL 4 of the cockpit items (12 matches in 17 days)
and
- 40 of all the challenges in this event to get 400 MC (8 days out of 17 completing all daily challenges or any combination of those in the period of 17 days)
I think that's quite an achievable challenge. Come on, strap in that cockpit and start stomping...
We're expecting you

For me it is the opposite I'm almost entirely a Medium pilot with moderate amounts of light and heavy. Only reason I have any xp at all on an assault was for the recent FW event... so just a single Kodiak 3 with basics done.

Oh well, still got plenty of time get those MC so I won't need to burn myself out like I do during the weekend events (I work Fridays and Saturdays) I'm liking this event more and more.

Please put your timezones and the time of the matches. Depending on the time you may have done some for today instead of yesterday. As I said before, my clock resets at 1800 here. Six hours before midnight. I am in Mountain daylight savings time.

The nice thing about this event is that if you miss on day, that only means you miss 1/17th of your possible Cbills and does not necessarily effect your ability to win all the steins and MC.
