These mechs are TERRIBLE....
DWF- Congratulations, you can now mount 8x AC2s and be more bad.
TBR hero, worst centre torso... basically unlocking an RT optimization for another tbr.
SCR- Wohooo Ballistic Right Arm....you can run a mirror image of the old meta-gauss crow.

Also, boo hoo, the Heroes have horrible builds. they're also only buy-able with MC. which makes buying one NOT pay to win... and.... ffs, these are OMNIMECHS. You can fit them with anything they can fit in ANY config within the limits of OmniPods!
mean, Jesus, think before you accuse.

I mean, i HATE clans and i would've preferred pretty much ANYTHING to THIS, but even I can see that this is pretty much what a lot of people have been asking for years.
Heck, i wouldn't be surprised if PGI did the camo retrofits alongside these heroes for the early (I) Clan mechs

Maybe becuase pgi ceo screw communication up once again (a la "we know what's better for mwo, not the community")
He wrote about new content ... and we have... not even new mechs, only new skins with 30%c-bills.
Not nearly close to a new content.

I'm with you. I'm sorry, but we were lead to believe that the Timber Wolf would be Aidan Pryde, not Vlad of the Wards Timber Wolf. C'mon, PGI give us what we want not what you think we want.
I get the intention but you're arguing they shouldn't give us what they think we want? By argument that means we weren't clear enough expressing what we wanted.

Will this count next year too as I already have all the rewards (and I see no preorder rewards so not in a hurry as just spent 100m+ on new heavies)?

Ok so basically if we wait we can get these at 50% off?
Sadly I think I have most of the base chassis in the lines that interest me.

If you aim for 2017 loyalty rewards..., then wait!
Never buy anything in september / october. You will be burnt and regret it afterwards.
I did qualify for top tier prize 3 freakin times in 2015. have i waited just a month, I could qualify for top IS prize in 2016.

Seriously the ones built specifically for MWO and dropping tabletop (so basically many of the 2014, 2015 heroes)... are awful. Far too many heatsinks. One with an impossible engine size. And don't forget some of them have endo steel tacked in... the repair and rearm costs for a campaign is through the roof.
Firebrand used to have ferro armor. PGI changed it to Endo steel by default to help it sell.
La Malanche's big video clearly shows a less-than-1-second clip where it had jumpjets and two clips where it uses standard lasers yet it has pulse lasers. What it does come with works marginally well but is far too hot for it to handle. Not to mention endo steel; toying with it so far the thing is almost economically impossible to maintain in good condition.
All this said...
Pretty Baby was built with the source material in mind. It works really damn well in Battletech.
But as I'm sure you know, it doesn't work very well in MWO. That triple to 19 times the damage/heat/firing rate depending on the weapon systems is what does it in. Too much heat.
Already been ask and answered on the CGL board awhile ago, CGL is acknowledging the pilots and their mech but not the actual builds. Best example would be Black Widow's Warhammer that never mounted quad machine guns, that was a just so MWO players could build some unique dakka builds (I was angered more that the Bounty Hunter suddenly piloted a Warhammer, that was nothing but a fan rumor till now) The Pretty Baby was first acknowledged during the Succession Wars but that means it was probably a stock 8Q considering it was never listed as a custom build and was serving long before the XL Engine made a come back in the IS (Bitchen paint job non the less, that part I want Canonized)
As for Omnis, plenty of builds in fiction that have never been given record sheets and not considered any more official than many fan builds. So yeah, Hunter Tsenghas is now officially a Warhawk driver but probably used a existing configuration.

Mech pack = new skin.
New content = mech pack.
New content = new skin
Every think is ok.

But that was the one I was looking forward to most Ed. With the exception of the tainted dude Aiden that managed to luckily achieve a draw with comstar for Falcon. (I personally believe Joanna or even the Slave Horse would be a better choice for Falcon.) I don't know who the others are.
Besides, everyone, and the, Dare, means, everyone, (even PGI) forget that mechs are not the heroes but it's the pilots that make them heroes.
I can't remember the pilots name of the Atlas Boars Head hero, (in lore) but if you said, Darling One, Khorn, and Sarlic, I would say DAMN, DAMN, those guys.... those guys make the Atlas.
Honourable mentions : Mycrus - Commando, Tekadept - Centurion, Soviet Armada - Hunchback, Narc Bait - Raven, Wispy - Jenner.

The bonus/discount is already explained in the FAQ for these mechs....the webstore price is going to be significantly less than their in-game MC price. Plus they'll be a six month gap between webstore and in-game store availability.
