Kit Fox—Developed by Cloud Cobra, produced by the same and by Jade Falcon (vied for production rights under Khan Bret Malthus), Snow Raven, and Blood Spirit. Notable Pilots Phelan Wolf (in one battle in his Trial of Bloodright) and Connor Rood. Possibly Brett Andrews was mistaken for Bret Malthus as there is no indication he is a notable Kit Fox pilot.
Stormcrow—designed by Hell’s Horses, first produced by Snow Ravens, and spread throughout the Clans (Especially common amongst Smoke Jaguar). No textual evidence at hand to support Barbara Sennet as a notable pilot
Timber Wolf—Vlad Ward used a Prime variant. Aidan Pryde most often piloted a Summoner, but fought his most famous battle in a custom-configured Timber Wolf. (Vlad of the Wards would pilot an Executioner against Phelan Kell, and a Warhawk against Vandervahn Chistu). Phelan Kell would fight on Tharkaad in a Timber Wolf, and the Bounty Hunter had a custom configuration
Warhawk—Diana Pryde’s mech of choice for much of her early career, Theodore Kurita during Battle of Luthian, (there are others), but no textual evidence that Hunter Tseng used this mech (other than it was fairly common among Clan Ghost Bear)
Adder—Dirk Radick was a noted Adder Pilot through the Battle of Tukayyid
Nova—both Diana Pryde and Phelan Wolf/Ward/Kell piloted Novas in their Trials of Bloodname, and Diana would use it extensively in the latter half of her career. No textual evidence that Mar Helmer was a notable Nova pilot (he was piloting a Summoner post-Tukayyid in the Jade Falcon sourcebook)
Summoner—Aidan Pryde piloted a Summoner for most of his career, but none were available when Tukayyid came around. There is no shortage of Summoner-pilots however: Marthe Pryde, for example, or Joanna of the Jade Falcons who defeated Natasha Kerensky using one, or Nicolai Malthus…
Direwolf—Jin Mehta piloted a Direwolf-Prime, but was not particularly notable (shows up only in one scenario pack). On the other hand, Natasha Kerensky seemed to have a different configuration for each day of the week.
edit: updates to Nova, and Jin Mehta

I needed that. Now my night is complete

For fun....
I should probably mention that Catalyst, current owners of Battletech tabletop, are basically making all of PGI's made-up heroes canon.
So 'yay'... now all these heroes will be noteworthy all of a sudden, and their custom loadouts will be here to party in tabletop too..

I just feel sorry for whoever tries to play some of the hero builds in tabletop.
Seriously the ones built specifically for MWO and dropping tabletop (so basically many of the 2014, 2015 heroes)... are awful. Far too many heatsinks. One with an impossible engine size. And don't forget some of them have endo steel tacked in... the repair and rearm costs for a campaign is through the roof.
Firebrand used to have ferro armor. PGI changed it to Endo steel by default to help it sell.
La Malanche's big video clearly shows a less-than-1-second clip where it had jumpjets and two clips where it uses standard lasers yet it has pulse lasers. What it does come with works marginally well but is far too hot for it to handle. Not to mention endo steel; toying with it so far the thing is almost economically impossible to maintain in good condition.
All this said...
Pretty Baby was built with the source material in mind. It works really damn well in Battletech.
But as I'm sure you know, it doesn't work very well in MWO. That triple to 19 times the damage/heat/firing rate depending on the weapon systems is what does it in. Too much heat.

Oh lord, please tell me that wasn't sarcasm...
please please please because this will be so much more fun if you were serious and oblivious to the sheer volume of builds you can make with existing clan ECM omnis.
If you were to say "No clan assault with ECM" then you'd be right but every other weight class has ECM and has waaaaay more loadout flexibility with that ECM...

When Russ said that it was not a new mech, I thought that it was something other... something new.... some small little improvement somewhere.
But NOPE!... here is another mechpack!
Lol yea he said "(not a new chassis)" also it indicated it was new variant ..
I mean it's obvious you know ( come to the dark side my apprentice )
Darth obvious.

I also hope that's serious and not sarcasm. Considering Clans have a ton of meta ecm mechs while IS has only a few.
Hard to tell because clan fans scream loudly every time the game approaches balance.

Strange you see only clan fans when me i don't make distinction between clan or IS potatoes.
Clan have hellbringer and artic cheetah which can be considered as "meta" but that's all...
No assault mechs can bring for now an ECM
In medium mechs clan have only shadowcat which is a really weak mech outside some dedicated warfare roles..
And plz we have to talk about kit fox or myst lynx they are so meta? IS want the kitfox ? Ok take it ^^
IS have griffon 2N, atlas DDC, cyclop which are really solid mechs
And i don't talk about phoenix ecm one, archer hero, cataphract ecm variant, the incomming loyal ECM stalker or ciccada raven spider or my lovely pirate bane
Soon Clan will get their first ECM assault, maraudeur 2C but it's an omnimech also only one variant will be able to have ecm ...
TY for not complain about clan have more ecm than you poor IS crying warriors.. it's just wrong.

The poster didn't ask for meta clan ecm mechs, just clan ecm mechs. Apart from Assault class ECM mechs, what role/builds can be accomplished by IS that can't be accomplished by clan?
going the other way, what role/builds can be accomplished by clan ECM mechs that can be done by IS?
Yes, ACH and HBR are prolly the cream of the clan ECM crop, but shadowcats are also strong (ECM, JJ, MASC). All three of those can mount ECM and then have a variety of different configs so that if you drop in CW/FP, it is very easy to have an all-ecm deck or at least have tailored builds for the map/mode scenario.
Don't get me wrong, I *love* my Spider 5D. I just think asking for more clan ECM because there are only 4-5 ECM omnipods out there glosses over the strength of omnimechs in general.

Limited time packs with good value (phoenix packs)
Always available large packs with good value
single chassis packs with low value
hero mechs dressed in packs (no new models, just re-skins)
...
whats next?
Omni-pod pack? (no model and no camo required)
Financial problems?

Sorry man, but the current MASC in game is a joke. For it to be viable it needs (much) longer duration and higher damage threshold!
right now, only the executioner can use it for explosive acceleration.

Hey if you don't dig the MASC on the Shadowcat, that's cool, but it's still a useful ECM mech.

I have the Executioner, Shadow Cat & Spirit Bear... and whilst i'd be happy for them to improve MASC... I really notice its absence when switching to a non MASC mech after playing any of these...

I don't recall Phelan piloting a Kit Fox in any of his bloodname battles, only in training.
