I go to Overwatch's Subreddit; I get gfycat posts and jokes. Not exactly awe inspiring mental stimulation, but it's lighthearted. Positive overall.

I go here, and in OutreachHPG:

• "PGI is terrible gahd pls drop IP someone save Battletech, praise it's legacy"
  
• "Do you wanna buy a mechpack"
  
• "weekend events should stop, I hate playing with more people"
  
• "Yes I would in fact like to buy this specific mechpack"

Is there any real positive light leftover, outside the game itself? As much as I'd like to get in a Nova and get surgical with lasers again, every time I hear the mechlab music start up and see that damned loading spinner go on for like 5 minutes, it drudges up everything that dampens the fun.

I'm burned out by Russ having no clue what PR is or how to manage expectations. And them not having a single solitary good coder in their group.

Plus we have plenty of people that posts gifs. Like Restoslll up there, he always posts anime gifs, doesn't even matter if they make sense

Sorry man but after 4 years of the same thing it's hard to be positive at this point.

I'm on the verge of creating a new element on the periodic table. It's a mix between dark matter and salt. It has a half-life of 90 days and in some rare cases soon™.

We don't buy mech packs now. We buy single mech variants from chassis that have already existed. Wanna buy a mech reskin?

Oh I will not deny that is a huge factor in my recent blood pressure spike, but there is more to it than that. Also don't forget I bought the cake that community gave me tons a flack for.

Here is what I've pushed for years:

PVE / CO-OP (Standalone)
DX12 (New Engine)
Removal of the 4 man group limit (Got banned on Twitter from this)
IK
Collisions and knockdowns
Destructible environments
Game replay (Think Halo)
Community map creation
Dynamic Weather and Cockpit Glass effects
High resolution texture pack

(These things are all dreams with little voice in my head saying "You know they aren't coming")

So after supporting PGI by buying every top mech pack for years I lowered my bar to something I knew they could deliver without fail. It's called a mech pack. So I asked for my favorite childhood mech the Mad Cat MK II.

So back in Feb Russ said I'd get my mech soon™ Don't worry it's coming (90 days joke) and here we are in October last info about is now maybe in 2017 lol yup whatever.

How about micro transactions for more playable characters? Like a Character-pack!

Think you would see happy jokes after that? Nope.

And each Character pack would make the other characters non essential!

Kind of like the KDK-3 did with every other assault!

The health of the community is dictated by the content that is produced... whether it be on Reddit (most common) or on the forums.

The worse the content... the health of the game is less likely to be positive.

The people are the reason why i'm still around, it's nice to just mess around with like-minded people or strike up a constructive conversation.



Honestly, if there were a lobby/server where anyone can join and stomp around an open environment in their mechs (can still fire weapons and do damage, with coded health regen? or just no damage) and just chat/troll the night away... i'd be hanging out there alot. (Kind of like APB:R's Social District, but with mechs)
