It's like I have to write a disclaimer every time I post. Maybe I should put it in my sig.

Oh, and still waiting for some events that are based on actual Battletech lore instead of Halloween, St Patrick's Day, October fest or TV shows. I know this is an odd request, but I figure that since we're all Battletech fans playing a Battletech game... well, never mind.
Basically i wont be playing QP much until after mid october.

Perhaps not writing things like "but I figure that since we're all Battletech fans playing a Battletech game" would alleviate the need to have that annoying disclaimer.

You aren't trying hard enough, everyone knows that if you do your part and try hard, your team won't lose, because ONLY YOU Can decide the outcome.

Yeah, absolutely. Lights can do a lot of damage in a game, but it's usually a medium amount of damage per target. You won't be the one doing most damage to each target, but you have the speed to participate in the action, whereever it takes place. So you get a lot of assists and you can get a decent score.
The only reliable way to get KMDD is to isolate targets. And that's hard to do against skilled opponents. If you're not fighting a total potato, it's going to take a while to get a solo kill. And in that time, you just have to hope there's no Streakcrow headed towards you.

I've seen you in game a few times, but I haven't played against you enough to recall your abilities. I'm sure you're as good as you say you are.
As for the ACH, I don't know. The trouble with the ACH is its monstrous firepower. If the ACH pilot is anywhere near as good as you, he'll do some serious damage to your legs. In this case, he can still take your leg off after you leg him. And unlike some other light mechs, he doesn't have significant structure quirks (quite often, no structure quirks at all), so those arms and side torsos will fall off rather easily. Those 6 SPL ACH's can be scary, but when they lose a side torso, the combination of half firepower and decreased speed makes them almost helpless.
I do usually go for legs, but if I see a damaged arm or sidetorso and healthy legs, I start working the torso instead.
It's fairly rare to get a full 1v1 light mech duel though. Usually, the taste of squirrel blood in the water makes friendly and enemy lights, mediums and heavies flock to the scene as soon as either light mech has been stripped. It's almost magical how often a friendly mech gets the kill shot on a light mech I've spent ages duelling.

Oh I know, I've lost fights to good Arctic Cheetah pilots before. The thing of it is though that if you are in solo queue PUGlandia, which is where I spend most of my time in this game, Arctic Cheetah pilots seem to be generally bad at what they do. Like you can tell these guys have never piloted a light besides that Arctic Cheetah in their life and I will say, when I get in my Arctic Cheetah it is pretty easymode. It is by and large the best light 'mech currently in this game, and that's no secret. But if all you've ever played is the best... then you don't get the skill that comes with mastering the worst, you know? I think that's really the reason I come out on top against most Arctic Cheetah pilots. The only light 'mech piloting experience they've ever had is that Arctic Cheetah while I, on the other hand, have mastered and quite enjoy at least one variant of every light chassis in the game.

Even the Wolfhound? I dunno what the big deal is, you can get a kmdd even after you've died. It took me five matches to secure each day so far. I'm sure some days will be frustrating but so is an FPS game with as few maps as this.

I haven't had a chance to play my Wolfhound since the rescale but before the rescale the Wolfhound had actually become my favorite IS light 'mech to the point where it held a place in my FW drop deck, even though I had mostly stopped playing FW by the time the Wolfhound came out.

Yeah, I definitely hear that. That's why I always put my big boy pants on when I engage Commandos. If anyone's piloting a Commando at Tier 1 or Tier 2, it usually means they know what they're doing.

The Commando 1B is one of my favorites. Got mine set up with 3 Medium Lasers and an SRM6. It doesn't sound like much but it's actually really good. The other variants of the Commando rely on missiles too much for my taste. At 25 tons you just don't have enough weight bring any real splat to the fight without downgrading your engine and let's be honest, downgrading the engine on the fastest 'mech in the game is nigh sacrilege. The 1B with 3 energy and 1 missile is definitely the best Commando out of the bunch in my opinion. That is, of course, if we're not including Hero 'mechs, in which case the Death's Knell might be the best Commando. But I don't like hero 'mechs. Have never owned one. Never will.
