As for the rumor that PGI has already been working on an engine port for months now - that's predicated on the popular impression that PGI hasn't been working actively on the game as it is itself, which is just silly. Every bug fix you've seen in the patch notes was several days' worth of work by the programmers and QA, and that's not counting the numerous actual features that have come out. Even if they weren't features that interested you.
