Shadowhawk 5M can only theoretically mount 2x UAC5s. In practice you have a single UAC5 and can't fit a second one because of XL engine. dual ballistics @55tons without XL is ********, build one in mechlab to see it for yourself. 5M is probably the worst Shadow Hawk you can run.

Oh and they forgot about the Orion-V. Dual AC5 possible as well. Actually a viable build for that mech. And the Summoner too.

I beg to differ, I run a dual UAC5 SHD-5M with a STD250 engine. I find it to be quite effective, though definitely not OP... and absolutely not the worst SHD you can field.

Still wondering why the nerf to all the sub par 'mechs though...

The dual UAC-5 SHD-5M is fun, I run mine with STD250 and 6 tons of ammo. Backup weapons would be nice, but being able to spam triggers until you double jam or run out of ammo is nice too. If RNGsus is kind to you and you don't jam, you can keep up some mad DPS for an IS 55'er. Similar to a HBK-IIC in some ways, certainly with a bit more more armor/structure anyway.

They see what dakka builds can do, so they take away the quirks from the few mediocre mechs that have them instead of adjusting the actual meta mechs that don't need the quirks because they mount 4+ UACs?

I guess I missed an announcement but wasn't the new Assault Mode supposed to come out?

Just to join in the UAC nerfs are frustrating.

Good Hunting all

The new Terra Therma looks basically like a hot Polar Highlands. Whoever is making these new maps should kill themselves. All of them are way too open and have no interesting features.

If anyone is curious about the kinds of posts that get you banned from posting on the forums, telling someone to kill themselves over a map change is a good example.

Definitely don't need that kind of toxic in the forums.

And since it seems that someone is actually reading this thread - will there be any kind of commentary or justification for the UAC quirk changes? What I miss a great deal is exactly this - communication with the community (some of them customers even) why changes are being made and what is the expected outcome. Because, frankly, this one does not make any sense to me. And as I read the forum a lot of other members feel the same way.

Please communicate with the community on such occasions. While I know some salt will come (and appreciate that it is very frustrating), but you are definitely going to get at least some constructive commentary from the player base. Or at perhaps some understanding.

I agree completely. While certain forumites clearly cross the line or ramble on about nonsense, we still need developers to communicate about things like ridiculous quirk changes.. A niche game like this cannot tolerate communication black outs.

Well.. it does say he's Russian. Not trying to justify it, but I think over there a death-threath is kinda like a "Hey, how's the weather, love your new shoes!"

Looks like great work, thx PGI !

After watching sneak peek of Terra Therma i got a feeling like being on a zerg home planet, really epic :)

But i would like to see the old maps ingame again, besides the overhaul maps. I mean we still can vote which map we prefer and sometimes i miss the old ones like river city. Or for CW Scouting perhaps? :)

Not sure if this is related to the patching going on or the servers swamped with logins but trying to go to my forum profile isn't working.

Waiting for the steam client to update, however it is not an option yet.

Hey guys, do any of you using the steam client?
Mine says the game is up-to date, but when I try to log in, the client says that there's an update available... heck I even tried to check the game files' integrity, no issues detected.

Could PGI just forgot to update the game files on the steam repository?

So how about providing the patch direct download files? I run MWO on two different computers and do not want to dl the same patch twice.

If Kerbal Space Program tought me one thing it is when you wait for a patch, check steamdb for updates:

https://steamdb.info...342200/history/

looks like the patch is not yet there.
