While we are at it, I'd also like a Madcat III
Heck, they need to make a Madcat IV that is a light mech so I can make an entire drop deck full of Madcats...That is if I played CW.

Sorry, but the Mad Cat Mk. IV designation has already been taken for a Dark Age Clan 75-tonner.

Also MWO does not care one bit about lore so let's not try to use that crutch.
You asked "What is your attachment to lights?" This is not a question about light balance, this is a question about preference ("What is your attachment" ie "Why do you care"). If you wanted that specific question to be about light balance, you should have worded it differently.
A person's attachment to lights may include (among other reasons) history, and lore, and the basic design of the game. I answered - they're a fundamental part of the game ("far more important..."). And then I snarkily pointed out that they're more important than a single 90 ton Clan Battlemech.
Seems like I'm not the one with "reading comprehension" concerns.

How did with all this Mk II hype....how did we miss these from IWM?!?
Mad Cat Mk. II 4 This variant of the Mad Cat carries two ER Large Lasers in each arm and a pair of LRM-15 launchers. A Light Active Probe identifies hidden units. It retains the 120 meter jump radius of the base model.

Mad Cat Mk. II 5 This variant carries a Gauss Rifle in the right arm, supported by an Improved Heavy Large Laser and Improved Heavy Medium Laser in the left arm. Six Improved Jump Jets allow it to cover 180 meters at a time.

Such a silly design, 24 tons locked into JJs and a Gauss Rifle all too lock up and waste tonnage.

And who is going to take it up, considering the deathly long abandonment of any other new MW title by MS.
MW4 is 16 years old, Mech Assault 2 is 12 years.

Who cares if someone picks it up? Just because they provided an arena shooter with mechs doesn't mean we should bow down to PGI or this stale shallow game. Something is not better than nothing. Not with how this game is 5 years later, which is not very different.
