I dont .
Got enough silly OP IS mechs, no need to reinforce them right now .

Since when is Kodiak 3 an IS 'Mech?

The "We's" who just want mechs to purchase are who keep allowing PGI to do very little with this game. They will floss you people wanting this most pined for mech when they absolutely are in dire financial terms. I hope soon. PGI doesn't deserve to hold this IP hostage any more.

Pigeon-hole much?

Believe it or not... There is a segment of this player-base that who will agree that MWO could be so much more but also , in general still enjoy the core game, warts and all.

These "we people", like myself, will not deny ourselves something that we want / might enjoy in order propagate some idealistic premise to punitively punish PGI into ruin under the inference that someone will rescue the IP.

I don't care for the IP to be rescued, PGI killed it. I will play HBS batteltech long after PGI folds MWO with a smile on my face that they made great art for a competent developer.

Apropos of nothing:

I like Coke. When I was a kid, If I had a spare quarter I would run to the grocery across the street and get a can whenever I could. When "New Coke" came out I stopped buying Coke, but if it was around the house because my folks bought it, I would still drink it, I mean it wasn't that bad; but I certainly wasn't spending my money on it. Then when, shortly thereafter, "Classic Coke" came out/returned I went back to buying and enjoying the product.

MWO is, at the moment, "New Coke". Some of the bittervets seem to think it has that foul taste since 2013, but not me. I like it overall, but I want it to be better. I want it to be a bit more refreshing and not so flat. For me the recipe they need to get more $ at of me involves a CW that is more Phase 2 than Phase 3, and balance decisions that have some semblance of readily apparent reason and logic to them. Until PGI figures out that recipe I will use the product as long as it is around (I've paid my fair share) but I aint paying for any more of it.

Isn't that essentially the same gloating Cheshire Cat smile and delusions of grandeur the Star Citizen fanbase enjoyed before they had to eat crow?

Point being... Absolutely, yes. HBS appears to have a great thing going. That said, The proof of the pudding is in the eating. Time will tell if HBS can live up to its hype like every other game in development.

Which is a very reasonable position to take... One many other players have and or are taking. Myself, I will readily admit I'm selfish because it's about "me" and my enjoyment.

You bet I'd love MWO to be more than it is... But I'm not real big into self-flagellation unless you consider me enjoying running counter-meta masochistic. Posted Image

I don't doubt SC will be a good game eventually, I didn't back it but whether people needed to eat crow or not regarding it isn't my concern.

HBS has a proven track record of good games. There really isn't anything to be worried about there.

Uh...

^^
LANDMINE !
AND YOU FULLY STEPPED ON IT !
BOOOOOOOOOM !
eheheheheheheh

My personal opinion of IS mechs .
Each month I whip out 1 IS mech for a few games just to have a reality check.
And reality in an IS mech checks out way easier than in Clan mechs, for me personally .
This and the gruesome things I´ve seen in 4 years playing leads me to believe that TOO many pilots don´t really know what to do with the "meta", good "personal" builds or torsotwisting or generally being a good "warrior", BUT these people are still demanding changes in balance, despite just :
- having played a few games
- having barely any clue about weapons & their ranges
- having barely any clue about in-game mechanics and how to use them
- getting caught out in the open and bumrushed and then running to forums to cry
- being parked at spawn AFK, getting killed, running to forums to cry
- holding back with CQC-assaults, dying because they were last man hiding, then running to forums to (you already know^^)
- getting focus fired by 4+ mechs, dying instantaneously or sub 1 second and immediately running to forums to call haxxxx
- having no feeling for the mechs they drive
- having barely any tactical or strategical prowess to bring in
- having CoD "gun´n run" mentality and dying overwhelmingly often without any impact on the game

So in short, since so many in here dont want to or arent really able to read longer texts :

Nubs and biased campaign-lords had too big influence on balance, tough it out and say all your thanks to Twitter .

Since the majority of manufactured Mad Cats Mk. II has been exported to the Inner Sphere.

I guess that many Clan players will have to get accustomed to see Mad Cat Mk. II in the ranks of their Inner Sphere opponents. Posted Image

Sort of yes, sort of no. The removal of that "hood" makes it look a million times better. I still think it looks different than an Adder, but that is probably the biggest glaring change. Anyway, It essentially carries a smaller engine to allow for more firepower.

and that leans into...

Yes, yes it will be :/. I still want it though. That's the problem with being a fan of a chassis...even when you know it will be too slow for it's own good.

And I would ask Russ to remove the Preorder and pretend that the Knockoff MK2 never existed. You don't seem to get it Imperious. That Knockoff is entirely pointless, is out-done by a mech fifteen tonnes lighter than it, and will never be added unless the game is about to go under.

I'd make a scene, pointing out that it's not a knock-off, but instead a high-quality Diamond Shark product, and would legitimately be a great Assault mech, but I'm typing on my phone because a tornado warning was just issued, with 50 mph winds, and I have a phobia of tornadoes, and thus I'm in bed. And I can't exactly make a full-blown essay from my phone when I jump every time I hear a noise outside.

It is a blatant knockoff of the highly successful Timberwolf Omnimech. Not only that, but the only ones who really bought any were the IS, who had little other choice. Hell, even the MK3 and the MK4 did better than that 90 ton pretender. So, can a mech that was out done by one that is 15 tonnes lighter than it really be of any use to anyone, especially since we are getting two Clan Battlemechs that both outdo the Knockoff MK2 in every conceivable way.

I don't think you can have a phobia of tornadoes. That's like having a phobia of being shot in the head.

Not exactly irrational.

EDIT: Anyway, good luck.

"Knock-off". Yeah, just like how the Tiger II was a "knock-off" Tiger H. As I said earlier, can't exactly sure you a book on the subject right now, but you could start off explaining how it's so gloriously outdone by all of its competition, because personally, I don't see it. Oh, and the Mad Cat MK III is a Medium mech designed for a completely different.role than an Assault, and the MK IV is a 3136 Heavy, so I don't see how they have anything to do with this.

I appreciate it. Been jumpy for years now whenever even slightly strong winds showed up, due to a tornado going through my front yard. So 50 mph winds+hail+lightning=pants-wetting terror for me.
