I find the PGI 4xmissile version interesting.

I may be able to create a Jupiter out of it.

But I have not enjoyed the King Crab, and have no real fancy for ERLaser boating.

One point to note,

PGI has fulfilled their "promise" of a mech a month. It is up to people who like it to buy it. If someone doesn't, sure. But the mechs have been rolling, and sure, these are the main income generators, people need to eat, and it adds. Varietyto the game, even if it's not some peoples notion of content.

The supernova wasn't my cup of tea this month, let's see what next month offers. Looking forward to the monthly surprise. mK2 , Grizzly, please

I would only be interested in the missiles variant if it came with ATMs. No ATMs, no deal.

Nostalgia. Supernova first debuted in MW3, and was a very iconic looking mech in that game. Same as Bushwacker.

It's pretty much what Russ is banking on.

We've had enough mechpacks that suggest this pattern (since the Black Knight and surely others before and after it).

Heh. Ill buy it, Its a cool looking mech. But I'll buy it next year on the condition the game has progressed at least one femtometer on fixing blatant non-parity in the existing assault line-up.

femtometer .

For the unenlightened, the Wikipedia definition:

"The femtometre is an SI unit of length equal to 10⁻¹⁵ metres."

Basically, he's overestimating PGI's development speed ;)

I'm skipping this one. Not due to a wallet closure, but simply as I don't need another hulking laservomit boat,... (But darn do I like the special edition paintjob,...)

Oh,... who am I kidding Posted Image

I whaled and broke my promise too much this year already, waiting for MAD IIC which will be obviously better than this, but daaaamn if this doesn't look good. I never even played the original Nova so I have absolutely no idea why would I want this piece of junk except for the looks. This is so hard to resist. I have to stop looking at it.

Also the preorder bonus is unattractive. With the module the deals were much better

CBills, and purely for Nostalgia. I'm liking the idea of this new skill tree where you don't have to buy three 'mechs anymore: lets me buy the Supernova Prime for CBills for the Nostalgia of it, and leave it at that. Without having to buy two more of a 'mech that has obvious flaws in a multiplayer game. :)

Oh well. By spending anything at all, I've already spent way more than I intended on this game. I just got the Marauders, and I've got the Bushwacker coming (the only one I actually MEANT to spend money on :) ), and that's likely to be it until Mechwarrior 5 comes out.

This is an old post from me so I feel I need to update the situation a tiny bit.

While I'm not ever going to tell people what to do with their money I want you to keep this in your mind. Especially if you're like me waiting for MW5.

MWO basically help funds mw5 do keep that in mind when you think you're done spending. That's all.

6x ER Large Lasers in MWO? It's just not allowed. Supernova is supposed to fire them in two salvos of three. 40+40 heat shuts down any mech. It's hot in Battle Tech too, but PGI has the heatscale really ramped up, DHS 1.4's, ghost heat, Supernova is just not allowed in MWO. Looks nice though.

40+40 heat does not shut down a 'Mech if it has at least 22 DHS.

That's a lot of heat sinks.

Or maybe that's just a lot of heat sinks for an IS mech.

That's about the upper limit for what can be put on an IS 'Mech, and that requires no Endo and almost all single-slot weapons.

For Clans, the vomit TBR runs 24 DHS. But that's part of the schtick; the heat-to-sink ratio results in Clans and IS running about equally hot under natural conditions. Quirks give the IS a little bit of a leg up on heat, which is necessary so they can shoot more after taking hits to get in range.

Just tested this on a marauder IIC. You can fire 3 and 3 with the stock 26 DHS, but it will take you up to 70% heat or so. Firing 2-2-2 you can do twice in a row, followed by 2 more salvos of 2 for a grand total of 160 damage at over 84 meters before having to slow firing. That was on a cold map though, bring it down a notch for warmer maps.

And with large hit boxes I'm gonna bank that this mech is gonna be a CT sponge. 26 double heat sinks while chain firing, or even group firing in twos might be sufficient enough to prevent it from overheating. I'm still not sold since this mech is gonna be DOA, and there are better assaults like the MAD IIC and Kodiak. Did anyone really want this thing besides MW3 nostalgia?

30 DHS. That's what Inner Sphere mechs max out at, on a 100 ton, 400STD Engine battlemech.

Stupid cold, I should be sleeping, not messing around with heat sinks.

Clans cap out at 40, by the way, at which point they run out of tonnage, with 3 internal slots left.
