This is something that I think many players would like to see. Nerfing things always really pisses off the customer base that has laid out real cash for those things. I have mechs that I paid cash for that I never take out as they just don't work well after they were nerfed. *cough* Heavy Metal *cough* It feels like a bait and switch. You lay out cash for this and suddenly, nope you can't have what you paid for, you get this instead.

My Dragon Slayer and Ember... ******* Clan packs! Messed everything up!

Rumors have it, that a 2 lances of JM6-DDs and 1 lance of ENF-5R managed to fend off 3 lances of KDK-3s on emerald once.

Since KDK-3s are still PGI's equivalent to selling hotcakes.. well kinda obvious what had to happen next...

Words from the mouth of our beloved balance department, explaining some of the changes they do
They may help the community understand why a thing was done...because some changes are just nonsense, and the lack of changes disgusting.

I'm so happy you said this... it brings a tear to my eye.

Paul played his one game for the month.

If he played one game a month, we'd actually get more frequent balance adjustments.

I don't want explanations actually, I just want them to hire a new person to do the balancing.

Shhh... that's not true. The Dartboard of Balance is a great game to play when bored!

The problem is that the sandbox he's playing in trains him is like playing in a virtual Tier 5... which tells/teaches you nothing about game balance. How does one know they are competent if they are saddled with people that is "beneath" one's skill level?

I mean, it would look exactly like a lot of potato threads we have on these here forums.

Fine. As long as they made sense.

Oh.

It's all top secret.

Go buy Mech Con tickets.

PGI has gone and monetized information about the game.

Hey, hey, hey.....settle down. $60 a ticket is a fair and reasonable price for limited food, watching robot nerds freak out, and for having the honor of listening to some guy talk who doesn't want to listen to you in return.

That's both funny and sad but true it seems. I hadn't actually put those pieces together before until you mentioned it. But then MechCon was not something I ever seriously put much thought into. It went into my "I don't care" pile as soon as it was first announced.

I loath the very thought of being disrespectful to a host and especially one giving a speech, but still, I kinda hope, that someone has the decency to get drunk (or not) at mechcon and mutter -loud enough for Russ to hear, but still a mutter- something along the lines of "whatever I'm on an island" just as he is about to do one of his big reveals. Video evidence of same, heaven forbid, and the offending miscreant has a full ultimate pack coming (seems an appropriate reward). It would be so perfect, but alas I expect the folks actually attending are those who are serious white knights or tourney participants. Still, I can dream.

It would just be easier to get everyone to sing "Would you like a mechpack?" in unison, to send a message.

He plays with trains in his sandbox? No wonder the nerfs make no sense. He must be mad from all the grit he has to clean out of the bogies,,,Posted Image

I would donate funds towards a Bluetooth speaker to do this

This tangent may get the thread locked...

The only reason for the nerfs is the clan meta is shifting toward uac's away from laser vomit.
They seem to be going to have an ED problem.
Which is odd because Clanners have no naughty bits and they smell bad also.
And since PGI has an insane need to keep them OP.
This is the result.
Or.......... The Nerf Dartboard really does exist.

Be happy that it does exist! This way, we can at least hope for some usable changes by accident once in a while.

This is precisely why I won't be there. Too tempting to speak out and get attacked by a bunch of pom-pom carrying cheerleaders before they rush your butt out the door.

You could end up with a bigger beat down than a democrat at a Trump Rallly.

They nerfed both the Enforcer and Jagermech, so I think it's pretty clear this is some sort of Anti-Davion conspiracy, and any other mechs nerfed were just casualties of war, only changed to obscure this secret attack against the Federated Suns.

Save us, Hanse Davion!

Just be glad he's not doing the game balance or Catphracts and Ravens would be getting 100% cool down nerfs

It's actually happened before, believe it or not. Just not for a while.
