I find my left hand is completely occupied with movement keys save my thumb which can only comfortable reach the space bar which I wish to keep as jump.

How common are MASC macros? I have a Corsair Strafe which I have never utilized advanced key functions with. Is double tapping W or S the best approach in your opinion? What timings work well for the key delay?

My right hand is using a Razer Deathadder with all mouse buttons used.

A MASC macro? I've actually never heard of using one. I always just use LShift, so I don't really see the need for one. Honestly, a MASC macro just sounds like it would be dangerous in tense situations, since you might have difficulty switching it on/off quickly, and there's always the slim possibility it will act up at the worst time possible.

@Restos: Shift is activated with the little finger so you are compromising your ability to turn left. I use MASC quite a bit, but I want to use it more for knife fighting. Because I need to stretch the little finger I use it more for emergency forward or backward movement when it could be much more.

@Noni: Could do that, but I would need to release F if using targeting functions.

Yea you can switch masc to a toggle instead if that would help, might be hard to ride the limit like that though. In setting you can change it. But i use the pinky or ring finger button my on mouse, CM Storm Recon has a huge button on the right hand side of the mouse and its actually really easy. Macro might be worth it but i assume the toggle in game would kinda be the same....shame it doesnt shut off automatically when you hit the limit hence the need for a timed macro i guess.

I prefer the ability to feather it though, would ruin it for me.

Even the up scroll or down scroll? Cause people usually do not use those.

I used Alt until it became my PTT
MASC moved to V (same as the jump movement), as I never take Advanced Zoom

Forget a macro. Use your mouse wheel. Scroll up to turn on, scroll down to turn off (or pick a direction and set it as a toggle).

Mcgral's suggestion is good. I hate advanced zoom and it cycles through all zoom levels anyway if bound to the mousewheel. V is redundant.

Put it on your left shift (put arm-lock toggle, not hold, on right shift), and play like COD or Battlefield, you're not going to miss a beat.

However, MASC as i experienced it on Executioner, it's not for long-distance sprinting but for reactivity, to quickly accelerate and decelerate.

check NewEgg for foot pedals. You can set it to hold for on or toggle, and they cost $10-20.

FYI macros are for doing multiple actions with on press. you are asking to use it to do one action for one push same as pushing the button.

Except what OP is requesting is not really a macro, just key rebind.

Perhaps the OP should amend his thread title to reflect that.

@ OP: Edit post. Click "Use Full Editor" and you will be able to change the thread title.

I just rebound my MASC to E and just roll my finger over when I want to use it. While using MASC rebind W key to full throttle and S key to full reverse as the MASC is still limited by increasing/decreasing of throttle.

Interesting, how do you keep your fingers on WASD? I keep my ring finger on A (left), index finger on D (right), while my middle finger alternates up-and-down between W, S and X (accelerate, decelerate, full stop). In this position, my little finger falls naturally on L Shift, hence I bind my MASC there. Also where I have "run" on generic FPS's.
