Or are you repeatedly intentionally overheating to suicide instead of going for that desperate last kill? If so, nuance is probably well beyond you I'm afraid.

Personally, I've been known to die from overheating..

But never have I received any penalty for this, no waiting for match penalty or anything like that. These things happen, and "going out in a blaze of glory" is not a bad strategy.

I personally applaud the OP for doing that. Better to go out in style and inflict max damage as possible if you see you're gonna get stomped anyway, than to not do that.

The problem is if you get reported (you should not get reported for this).

The COC part about overheating refers to dropping from dropship, than firing all weapons till suicide from overheating, without actually engaging the enemy. That should, and does get reported.

And there's a difference between doing that and going out in a blaze of glory, all guns blazing..
