There is a missile variant but Pgi would have to invent a ballistic variant for there to be one.

60 tons is borderline too light for ballistic use anyway to be honest so there is that (though a UAC5 up where each of those shoulder cannons are plus a bunch of MLs would likely be decent)

Maybe the next Inner Sphere mech will be the Valkyrie, Sting, or Wasp. Anyone mentioned those yet?

I am hopeful for the next IS 'mech being a light. Russ asked a couple months back on Twitter what we wanted the next IS 'mech to be and he was bombarded with requests for more lights. Maybe he'll dust off the Flea and decide to put it out? I mean it's only 4 years late. The Stinger, Wasp, Valkyrie, and Javelin were also very heavily requested. The Javelin would actually do something that no IS light 'mech that isn't behind a paywall can do. SRMs. Only IS light 'mech that does SRMs well is the Oxide. I'd be very happy with a Javelin.

Its not a very inspiring name for a mech but the Mackie could be epic. Really it should be reserved for far down the road though to make the most of the first mech.

Javelin is on my mech list, it rates quite highly, as do the others on your list, asked Russ why he's so down on lights with my twitter account, or course I got no answer.

more early mediums and of course the Crusader feature on my want list.

I know other people look forward to later on, but I dread it, as it means that mechs I want will be passed over

If meta is your concern (Not mine) it's a 55 ton jump capable mech with 4 missile locations, that could, potentially, have a variant or two with hard point inflation (6 Missile Hard Points). Closest thing right now (That I'm aware of) is the Griffin GRF-2N (Jump Jets and 4 Missile Hard Points, but only two locations) and the Trebuchet TBT-LG (Jump Capable, 4 Missile Hard Points, 4 Locations, but 5 tons light and behind a pay wall).

But meta isn't my concern, really. A luxury available to people who aren't going to shell out a dime no matter what.

It is, admittedly, a 'Primitive' Dervish DV-1S. Of course, the fact the Dervish is old enough to have a primitive version is just another point in it's favor.

It is kind of like a 55 ton Archer in a way, or a Kintaro, but with Jumpjets.

The missile fists are one thing it brings and a new set of hardpoints in different locations than the Griffin. The Shadowhawk is more built around that shoulder gun, this one is more about missiles.

Think since the November release date is close to Mechcon they might save it and announce a few there. I know to some people dismay, like big event you think they won't? It's almost guaranteed lol.
