[Jarl Dane]

The Jarl examined the map and shook his head solemnly. Things were not looking good. The integrity of their fledgling nation had collapsed.

Broken and scattered enclaves of their shattered realm criss-crossed the glowing map. The once mighty Free Rasalhague Republic was now in ruins.
But, the Jarl thought as he grit his teeth, the people themselves had not yet given into despair. There was still time to reverse the losses, there was still hope.

He hit a call button on his display and barked out a few curt commands and then closed the link. Unless things changed, this would likely be his final gambit. There was only so much he could do as world burned down around.

The door to his office buzzed and two crisp officers entered. They were loyal and trusted Thegns of the Isengrim. A Thegn was more then just an officer though, more than just a rank in a military structure; they were confidants and champions they were Body Guards and Royal Escorts, they were friends and kinsmen. They were the center of his command and without them he'd be nothing.

Of the two Thegns one was older and more grizzled, the veteran of wars and battles that predated the Jarl by decades a keen tactician and able commander he was called the 'Crimson Corpse'. The other was much younger and more earnest looking, but his eyes, though bright, burned with recent experience and commitment, he was known as 'Topshot Tiger the Wolvesbane'.

The Jarl nodded to them as they stood at parade rest awaiting instructions.
"My Thegns, "the Jarl began, "I've called you here for a very special assignment."
The Jarl pointed to the glowing map behind him and towards the bleeding worlds of the last Republic.

"While we've been busy with Mercenaries of MRBC, our homeland was been ransacked and defiled. While we have been honing our skills and padding our roster, the fields of our kinsmen have burned to the ground. While we have done naught but watched, our people have been struck down."

The Jarl turned away from his two Thegns.
"But we stand aside no more," he continued, " Although it may be too late. Although the Buckets and MechCons of the future may put an end to any endeavor by our faction; I refuse to give up without a fight."

The Mad Jarl promptly turned and looked the nearest Thegn in the eyes, "which is why I need you. I am going to attempt to create a new military force, a Battle Group, of all FRR & Merc units willing to participate. I will invite the scatted remnants of the RKA and anyone else willing to raise arm in defiance of our current condition to join us."

"My Jarl, "the Crimson Corpse said with a careful tone, "what will our role be in this endeavor?"

"You two will lead it, " the Jarl Dane answered, "Use whatever RKA officers show up to help, assign new leaders as you see fit and build new commands if the numbers warrant it, but you two will be the seed of this new organization."

"What will it be called?, "Topshot Tiger the Wolvesbane asked.

"We'll call it, "Dane paused, " The Tyr Battlegroup."

The Jarl nodded towards the door, "Now, go get your kits ready for transport. You're going to have some work to do. Thorspeed."

Dane turned back to the map as the Thegns left his office.
One last try, he thought to himself as the fading footsteps of his thegns echoed in the distance.

What a Thing is.
FRR CW Night: Friday

I am going to make a final stab at restoring some sort of order to the FRR and bringing some measure of life back into CW. At its core all I am advocating is a weekly CW night for the FRR Hub. Every week at 10pm EST on Friday Night (Saturday Afternoon in Australia) my trusted Thegns (mostly CorpseZ and Topshot Tiger) will be hosting a FRR CW night.

To Repeat:
EVERY FRIDAY - 10PM EST - FRR CW NIGHT IN THE HUB.

I'd like this to be like the old Stromtrooper drops we used to do. I'd like to see it as an RKA/FRR task-force making real gains for the Republic and building more solid relationships between the units. Make it real and bring some meaning back to CW.


Stretch Goals:
Because I am me, and me is ever an ambitious individual, I'd be happy if eventually - once we have an established crowd of regulars - we could be more than just a CW Night. Add some RP elements, add some training, bring back a modified Stormtrooper deck, have objectives and debriefings, be the faction we've always wanted to be.



The Tyr Battle Group Operational Command Structure:
CO: Thegn Topshot Tiger The Wolvesbane
XO: Thegn CorpseZ The Crimson Corpse

RKA Majors - Any RKA Major who wishes to be involved
RKA Kaptens - Any RKA Kaptens who wish to be involved
RKA Lojtnants - Any RKA who wishes to be involved
RKA Pilots - Any RKA members who wish to be involved
Mercenaries - Any other non-RKA pilots who wish to be involved.

As time goes on and regular leadership emerges.. this will likely change and we'll get some actual names up here.

Objectives:
Primary: To Rebuild & Train the Unified RKA forces of the FRR
Secondary: To Retake territory lost to the FRR in CW
Tertiary: To create a more RP friendly FRR environment

Fleet Composition: (FRR Hub Channels)
The RKA Flagship Yggdrasil
The RKA Scoutship's Tyger & Naglfar

Closing:
If you care about CW, then come make a difference and perhaps for at least one night a week we can keep back the darkness that fills this game mode like a choking void.

I think you have done this before...but I may be wrong in my recollection, but is there a way to put a notice up in the TS server about this upon log in? If so, I think that would help.

2323 has started doing more CW again, so a lot of us will likely join in. This weekend in particular may not be great for a number of us, but future Fridays should get some good participation from 2323 - at least, during times we're back at home FRR.

Did FW drop happen or being postpone ? I might submit, FRR has fair amount of wrong side pond players,
so suggested hour might be off a bit in same line, Saturday could be better time to muster all of muscles(even ones from Brussels).

We had good turn out for our second Week 2 full companys plus a dedicated scout group lead by the harii ( thanks for that Mercie). We had a lot of good competative fights with only a couple of ghost drops looking forward to next Friday - FRR pilots and allies come join us if you can good fun for all.
I would ask for next friday if the loyalist could please pick a Clan attack lane so we could try and recapture one of our planets.
Mean Machine Angle you and your friends come roll with us next time you are visiting the halls of the Jarl.
