With the conclusion of the Regional Qualifiers and Regional Finals, we wanted to provide each of the Regional Finalists with the ability to acquire an in-game item, branded with their Team Emblem, to forever commemorate their participation in the Tournament. We additionally wanted to offer a way for the playerbase as a whole to both show their support for the participating Teams and boost the total Tournament Prize Pool for the World Championship Finals.
In that spirit, we created the Regional Finalist Supporter Packs.

Originally, these Regional Finalist Supporter Packs inherited the previous structure used for our Tournament Supporter Pack; 50% of the proceeds from these Regional Finalist Supporter Packs were to be contributed toward the Tournament Prize Pool. That percentage was increased to 100% on the day of their launch, Friday, October 21st, to help address some concerns regarding the use of split proceeds.

While the proceeds were originally split, making these Regional Finalist Supporter Packs available for purchase by the playerbase was not a decision geared toward profit. Rather, the availability of these Regional Finalist Supporter Packs was, first and foremost, in the spirit of what the name of the program implies; to reward the Finalists with an in-game item branded with their Team Emblem, and to provide players with an opportunity to show their support for the Finalists.

In the days following our initial statement regarding the above change to the distribution of proceeds, along with a few other changes and clarifications related to the MWOWC, additional concerns and complaints regarding the use of Team Emblems in these Packs have been expressed.
Put simply, our request and submission process for receiving these Emblems from participating Teams was not clear enough, and some participants in particular were caught off guard by the use of their submitted Emblem for the Hanging Cockpit Item provided through their associated Regional Finalist Supporter Packs.

As a result of this feedback, to address any potential conflicts or grievances with the introduction of these Team Emblems into the game either as in-game Cockpit Items or as Decals, we are removing all instances of the Regional Finalist Hanging Item from all player accounts, along with all instances of any Team Emblem Decals released to members of the associated Finalist teams.
Unfortunately, this is not something we can limit only to the Teams who have specifically expressed their issues with the use of their Team Emblems. To address any further potential conflicts or grievances all Emblems need to be removed.
The Regional Finalist Support Packs are no longer available for purchase, and have been removed from the website.

To ensure player accounts aren’t adversely affected by these inventory removals we will be bringing the servers down for a brief period on October 27th, starting at 3PM PDT, during which time we will complete the removals. We expect this downtime to last no longer than 30 minutes at most. You can find the downtime notice here.
For the same reasons that we are removing the Team Emblem Hanging Item and Team Emblem Decals, the Team Emblem Decals planned for injection to members of the 16 Regional Qualifier Teams for whom Team Emblem Decals were also created, but not yet released, will not be included with the November patch as planned.

We sincerely apologize to any Teams or players who were comfortable with their Emblem being in the game, and will be disappointed to see it go, but at this time we feel our solution to this must be comprehensive. That said, it is possible that we can re-approach the situation differently at a later date.

In regards to the other content received from the Regional Finalist Supporter Pack, we are only removing the Team Emblem Hanging Item.
All purchases of a Regional Finalist Supporter Pack will be refunded in full as soon as Support services can process them.
Any player who acquired a Regional Finalist Supporter Pack will nonetheless retain the Standing Item, Warhorn, and 7 Days Active Premium Time received with their original purchase. We will not be removing those items.

The Tournament Prize Pool will be updated to reflect the removal of the Regional Finalist Supporter Pack proceeds.
While we will make every effort to process these refunds as soon as possible, the number of Packs acquired since their initial release may require a few business days for all refunds to be processed by our Support agents. No action is required from you regarding the refund of your Pack purchase(s).
Once your refund is initiated by PGI Support Services it may take a few business days for the refund to be finalized, depending on your purchase method.
For any players who acquired a Regional Finalist Supporter Pack using a non-refundable purchase method, PGI Support services will be contacting you directly to determine a refund solution.

This refund also applies to any Regional Finalist Supporter Pack Gift Codes that have not yet been redeemed. Even after they are refunded however, any such Gift Codes will still be redeemable; redeeming such a Gift Code will simply not provide the player with the Team Emblem Hanging Item. All other items will be redeemed as normal.

Quick Summary

• The Regional Finalist Supporter Packs are no longer available for purchase.
• Regional Finalist Team Emblem Hanging Items are being removed from all player and Finalist accounts.
• Regional Finalist Team Emblem Decals are being removed from all Finalist accounts.
• All Regional Finalist Supporter Pack purchases will be refunded in full.
• The Standing Item, Warhorn, and 7 Days Active Premium received from the Regional Finalist Supporter Packs are not being removed from player accounts.
• The Team Emblem Decals of the 16 Regional Qualifier Teams for whom Team Emblem Decals were also created will not be released to their associated members in the November patch, as originally planned.

This... Many of us from our Top5 Regional Qualifier Team that made it far through hard work/training/insane schedule management shuffling but got eliminated, do not support this decision by PGI. Only to have THIS RIGHT HERE be taken from us as we were totally hyped and surprised we would get our decale we had submitted for use in the tournament due to some groups crying about others not liking others having dangling items. SO, now, we dont get to show our pride on our mechs in the form of either limited Top5 Regional Qualifier team decale and purchasable interior items! Thanks guys.

I don't normally like to complain about trivial things but this has me more than frustrated. We (along side every other Tournament team for that matter) at Ebon Keshik worked very hard to get where we ended up placing in the Tournament. As a nice surprise by PGI announcing that we'll be getting our own EK decal in-game was a phenomenal pat on the back for us and I know personally it made my day.

When I say thanks guys, what I mean is thank you to the WHINGERS that complained about PGI using/"selling"/whatever their logo's. I mean come on, how selfish can you be? As far as I'm concerned once we gave them the emblem they can do whatever they want with it. The people in the tournament teams got all the in-game stuff for free so what are you complaining about? Them selling a couple of hanging items and making a couple of dollars/more proceeds towards the finals pot? PRO TIP: This game needs all the funding it can get. Honestly though, this shouldn't be about the money. It was a nice gesture by PGI gratifying all the hard work that all of the teams have put into the Tournament, why do you have to make an issue about it?

So as per usual, thank YOU to the whiners for ruining it for the rest of us. o7 to all of our fellow Tournament teams, I look forward to watching the finals and competing against many of you in the new MRBC season.

I concur .... Whingers caused this because they submitted a decal that was illegal (due to copy right infringement) and didn't want to get in trouble.

To me if other players in game wanted to use our decal it wouldn't be a problem

Sigh.... At this point i will not give any more attention to the "Said" creator of this sh%t storm that has resulted in lots of work/time being wasted. Know that you have accomplished nothing. Like most losers you are testing a system after you have not placed in competition and crying. Hang your head in shame, and we will not forget the VICTORS for you have ultimately pushed the idea of in-game decals light-speeds ahead in PGI's eyes and we will prevail.

Way beyond bad game management.

PGI is once again showing us how much they don't care about the players. By deciding to silence the noise makers that raised concerns over rights and usages they have punished, upset and alienated the rest of us.

The way things have been managed and ran from the start of this tournament has been poorly done. The people and teams participating in this tournament have put up with a lot of B... S... but this takes the cake. Sure it's only 15 teams totaling 180 players why not just take the easy way out and scrap it all. Lets just wipe it away and pretend it never happened like so many other things PGI has done in the past.

Grow a pair. Find a solution that will allow you to for once honor what you said you would do PGI.

I support the protest against the cancelation of the team decals!

We are waiting to either individually or on a team base buy those and proudly wear them on the battlefield.
They should be available at least to the team members of said team, or individuals selected by team leaders, or something!
Find a solution instead of pushing it under the rug.

Remember to keep on-topic and constructive, so moderators do not have an excuse to lock/close this thread in which can show many teams and future hopefuls of team decals can share their upset with the current decision by PGI.

As to the question of who, i believe the rumor is of someone who, on reddit, brought up people not consenting to giving their logo to PGI to sell to people etc etc and brought up lawyers. I cannot name names due to forum policy, but i bet with this info you can find out. Last, this information HAS NOT BEEN CONFIRMED as the REASON for PGIs decision.

I know the guys from our team were EXTREMELY proud to wear the EK decal THEY created. It was awesome to see it in game. It was awesome that our team made it far enough to get this honor. It was a huge disappointment to me and several other EK that we would not have access to that decal. Still, in the end, I would rather have the decal in game on our team's Mechs than not at all.

If you guys haven't already, add in VVonka's thread on Outreach or contact him here. He's trying to organize the team leaders to talk to PGI civilly about getting the decals back in game, at least for the 15 teams.

PGI you can not give something to a team then take it away, i have not seen this much hate/anrgey towards PGI since the 3PV stuff.

If you need to remove the decals due to legal reason come out and say it, do not post the the update in a place where feedback can not be given.

If you just want to punish the player base for a team bring up a valid question, think about the how this is going to be viewed by your player base, EG the peple that buy mechpacks.


You have tried to do something nice for the teams, But due to being this first time you stuffed up and just assumed all teams wanted to have there image sold in game. Instead of responding to the problem by contacting the teams saying sorry this is the first time we have done this, if you do not want your image to be sold let me know and i will remove it.
You remove all the images from the game and then hide all posts behind areas that can not give feedback.
