Stock Mode ist something that should really have been in MWO since day one.
I'm convinced the Playerbase would have been bigger now if that would have been the case.

But now, I sadly agree it would be a risky move. Playerbase is quite small and this could split it and increase queue times to a level that could break the game.
And as others said, matchmaking would need adjustments.

Though official Stock mode weekends/events might be a good idea.

Similar to the Hellbringer. Over-gunned, under-armored, under-sinked. Absolutely painful to operate stock.

I would love to see stock mech pub queues. Or events even. Balancing by era is also a solid idea
