Your wrong.

The best game studios in the world took 5 years or so to make great games. Some took a lot longer. Way longer.

Your also wrong about "NOW" being "prime time". BUT the big Mech Con this year will be "prime time", with 5 years to have something to show there. So players will know without a doubt the situation. Of course that situation is going to change going into next year one way or another anyway.

I cant guess for sure if there will be any story or atmosphere added or not. If it will still be the same game at new years or not. Have to wait and see at Mech Con.

I have to completely disagree and say you are WRONG.

NOW is the PRIMETIME. The game is live. It has been live for years. PGI tries to sell a LOT of mechs out of this game. This is the height of their development ability. With PGI developing this game ...

This ...
Is ...
What ...
You ...
Get ...
Period.

Mech Con will just be announcements of what they want and hopefully actually plan to do. It is not like they are dropping some giant magical patch at mech con that will completely revitalize the game, and add in all the new content you could want.

NOT going to happen. What you have is STILL what you get.

Announcements are just lip service (or empty promises, depending on your view), and DOES NOT automatically translate to what we will actually see in game. As demonstrated over and over again by PGI.

As for development time ... just because another company can do just as poor a job of development, but also do it at a glacial slow pace ... does not make it the industry standard. It just makes it a bad job. Bare bones, team death match experience, with minor twists sprinkled around.

And if we are being honest - almost all the changes to this game since we started playing it ... are basically just reskins of everything we had at the beginning. More mech skins. More map skins and reskins. More skins of the same gamemode (deathball wins everything ... period). All reskins. Only a handful of notable mechanics (arguably all half arsed). The only thing genuine is the power creep. Oh did I mention mech skins ? ;)

Bad balance decisions, dart board balancing, slow balancing efforts (yea lets let poptarts dominate the meta for about 1.5 years, unchallenged for effectiveness, and then, finally, address the issue ... place any meta you like into this example cause its pretty much the same extended bout of inbalance before anything gets done), a couple of yearly weapon tweaks, etc, etc.

Many of us could rail on all day about many more issues, but if you aren't getting the idea at this point, why bother.

You are half right but the game has done nothing but improve and grow, even if its the same concept and game play mostly. Credit where credit is due and trashing the many improvements and upgrades and additions isn't fair. Way to much of that going on and it isn't true.
