OK disclaimer: I read the topic's subject line only and did not read OP's post or any post at all there after.

I would not mind at all if I never saw another anime pic on this forum but they don't bother me too much because I see that crap all the time here in Japan anyhow.
I think the anime gif's need to be replaced with women in bikinis doing the same thing. Not anime women, real women. That would be far more entertaining.

well, most of these crappy gifs come from 2-3 players. So just ignore those and done.

I don't like those anime pics either, not because I have a problem with anime but because they don't fit the topic at all. 9/10 of those pictures show some girl doing nothing.

I mean I'm all for funny reaction gifs but this anime stuff is simply boring.

But I really wanted to bring this topic out to attention. And as much as I like the concept of gifs in general, it's this weird conflict with my inner self that gets me thinking "this just doesn't belong here" and it happens a little bit too often then I would like, to the point it made me consider making this thread.

Does anyone else feel like this too?

OMG, so much this.

Personally, I find an occasional image or clip somewhere between funny and harmlessly boring.
BUT
There is that one guy who posts a random anime gif in almost ALL his posts.
It's unnecessary.
It's annoying.
It's absurd.

Sometimes I sit there and think how the mind of that person must look like.
I can't imagine much aside from somewhat mentally damaged.
And that annoys me even more.

Please: If some of you have mental problems, seek help. But don't spam the forums with arbitrary clips of childishly conceived and drawn characters and scenes.
(And yes, I do know anime and watched tons of it. Apart from Ghost in the Shell, it's more less all childish rubbish created by children for children. Please grow up.)

This. It's mostly that Restos guy. Since I have him on ignore, there are way less animated pictures cluttering up the board.

You mean like a gif of Star Commander Joanna dressed in her skimpy cooling vest climbing up the ladder of her Hellbringer in the middle of Blood Swamp or Star Captains Diana and Horse (aka Tyle) stripping off to race Star Commander Joanna across an icy lake at Sudetan? Or, better yet, Commander Rhianna Rose and MechWarrior Esmerelda (The Black Thorns) mud wrestling?

Can't say that I agree.

It's not up to anyone in the community to tell people what they can or can't post. As long as it is within the forum rules, people can post what they want (anime or not).

BTW, as a side note, Battletech is practically Anime the Table Top game lol. There are so many mechs taken from anime it isn't even funny. So if any place seems appropriate, you could make the argument that this forum is a good place for it .
