To the OP, and his point: I can understand your view point, and I've gotten similar "expressions" to me because of my previous posts before, most of them in a more vile form than this post. But on the other hand... Posting on the forums is one of the few ways I can keep my interest in the game, and I've always been a gif poster. It's just incredibly fun to find something that feels like it would fit. Do I sometimes post more than I should? Oh definitely. But I've been thinking about, at this point, just putting most of them behind spoiler tags for those that are getting extremely salty about it, just so that I'm not on ignore lists. So, to answer your question, no, I think anime gifs should be allowed, and personally I want more, but I'll try to compromise with people if they request it.

Heyo! I know I'm on your list by all likelyhood But I do agree that getting quote notifications from ignored users is... interesting, to say the least. I find it odd that you can't turn that off.

You could quote pretty much any anime/cartoon and 'Mech, but the fact of the matter is that everything is a redesigned copy of something else, television and other, so I do not know why you are so surprised.

Most of the 'good' animeme posters will keep their gifs on target for the reaction they're trying to convey. I know Resto takes it as a challenge to not only find the correct gif, but also not repeat himself for, like...a year or some such. That level of dedication is admirable in any endeavor.

Regardless. If folks are saying to do away with anime gifs but are fully prepared to ooh-la-la over busty wimminz gifs a'la a couple of comments in here...well, I'm going to call folks out on the 'mature community' bit. Frankly I'm going to state that anime reaction gifs make just as much sense as t!ts for t!ts' sake, and are more amusing to boot.

Reaction gifs are reaction gifs are reaction gifs. Anime, TV, vine-clip, whatevs. Smile at them or ignore them as you please.

i wouldn't mind if people would use them in moderation. when they need to spam 3 or 4 of them to make their point, maybe its time to take some english classes so you can express yourself in a way other people can understand.

that said they do add some much needed flavor to the game of forum warrior online.
