If you feel like you are being compelled to play by pixel bait, you have some sad quality of life issues, addiction issues, OCD or some combination of all three abd that is 100 % on you. Reevaluate your ******* life and deal with your self worth problems if too many opportunities for free pixel swag is somehow a trauma for you. Seriously.

On the other hand... after reading the constructive and fair critics and disagreements, maybe the tuning down the event quantity is really the bad idea, considering what I said. The jss88's idea for the event's longer duration would be OK Posted Image

Like events keep people playing. If those events were not happening, you might take a break for a month or two and find it takes longer to get into a game because people went and played something else. Like the current event gives bonuses for running light and medium mechs. It's a pretty crap bonus, just 100K cbills but for new players who've exhausted their noob injections and don't have premium time that's great. Similarly the premium time bonus for killing a linebacker

More events please.

It's up to each one of us whether we want to make time to participate in them.

1. Stop the disorder talk, if you are not qualified to diagnose it.

2. If you are qualified, look up your ethical codex ... and decide, why you aren't really qualified... go back to 1.

3. If you are not able to stop that talk because of a disorder... feel free to contact a moderator. We are quite helpful and can give you a time out.

Please keep it constructive. Thank you.

Im all for smaller events each week, something that you could grind out in a day if you have the time and cant play every day, but have a week to do if you cant get on for a full day.

Events where you need to be on every day should be bigger, once a month things. TBH, I'm feeling pretty burned out after a 3wk binge.

Moderation PGI, moderation.

I can see the OP'so point in some ways. The way to deal with this though isn't less events. It's the ability to understand its just a game. The reward are nice but jut virtual. When you need a break, ignore the event. I play many of them but 1/3 of the time I have more important things to do with my time. Other times the event is just to tedious for me and I just play. If I get something great, if not...o well.

On a lighter note, I too once felt the pain of not completing every event condition and sought help......

Here is my experience with my event completion addiction, The doctors are calling it ECA disorder,

Sorry this event is absolutely trivial. I am completely done with two categories after one day. In addition I worked late Friday and played less than normal.

People really think it is a grind? I am already one quarter done with component destruction and that will obviously finish well before the 12 day deadline.

Well... ok, I admit I do kind of see OPs point. Sometimes when they offer this much 'free' stuff, it does kind of feel like you're being 'forced' to play. But I think that's just a personality quirk we share, not an absolute that PGI needs to work to address. I do wonder if maybe we'd be better off with more frequent, but less 'dense' events. Something extra to make a bit of playtime feel more worthwhile, without feeling like the game is strong arming you into playing for 2-3 hours a night. Or maybe events that last longer, but don't require so much daily play time (We have to do 12 out of 15 days for this one, maybe it wouldn't feel like such a chore for some people if it was only 12 out of 20 days, or 16 out of 30?).

I kind of agree with you and to a degree with the OP. Sometimes it can get to feel like a bit much.

The problem is that the entire purpose behind a event is to encourage people to play the game, however it can get to feel like you actually HAVE to play the game day in and day out and that can be a bit of a problem. Once you get someone feeling this way, sometimes the exact opposite happens and instead of getting encourage to play, the get burn out and quit.

This event actually wouldn't be too bad because the vast majority of it can easily be knocked out in allotted time frame even by the most casual player. However they still missed it by a mile by adding in the "Play for 12 days Straight" requirement for the completionist reward. Again I have to log in EVERY DAMN DAY to play even if I don't feel like it and this is a chore, even if it is only one match a day. Also so much can happen over 12 days. Power can go out, internet can go out, wife may want to go out, kids might get sick, etc, etc. and if you miss one day, your screwed for the Free Hero Mech.

So in general, I do like the events and I say keep them coming, however I would really like to see them lay off on the playing every day requirement that seems to be commonplace any more.

Add a daily challenge/giveaway.
Have these easy giveaways.
And actual challenges that are harder to achieve.
Hell add challenges that most will not even be able to do.

This is what I want.
