Like events keep people playing. If those events were not happening, you might take a break for a month or two and find it takes longer to get into a game because people went and played something else. Like the current event gives bonuses for running light and medium mechs. It's a pretty crap bonus, just 100K cbills but for new players who've exhausted their noob injections and don't have premium time that's great. Similarly the premium time bonus for killing a linebacker

It's up to each one of us whether we want to make time to participate in them.

2. If you are qualified, look up your ethical codex ... and decide, why you aren't really qualified... go back to 1.
3. If you are not able to stop that talk because of a disorder... feel free to contact a moderator. We are quite helpful and can give you a time out.
Please keep it constructive. Thank you.

Events where you need to be on every day should be bigger, once a month things. TBH, I'm feeling pretty burned out after a 3wk binge.
Moderation PGI, moderation.

People really think it is a grind? I am already one quarter done with component destruction and that will obviously finish well before the 12 day deadline.

I kind of agree with you and to a degree with the OP. Sometimes it can get to feel like a bit much.
The problem is that the entire purpose behind a event is to encourage people to play the game, however it can get to feel like you actually HAVE to play the game day in and day out and that can be a bit of a problem. Once you get someone feeling this way, sometimes the exact opposite happens and instead of getting encourage to play, the get burn out and quit.
This event actually wouldn't be too bad because the vast majority of it can easily be knocked out in allotted time frame even by the most casual player. However they still missed it by a mile by adding in the "Play for 12 days Straight" requirement for the completionist reward. Again I have to log in EVERY DAMN DAY to play even if I don't feel like it and this is a chore, even if it is only one match a day. Also so much can happen over 12 days. Power can go out, internet can go out, wife may want to go out, kids might get sick, etc, etc. and if you miss one day, your screwed for the Free Hero Mech.
So in general, I do like the events and I say keep them coming, however I would really like to see them lay off on the playing every day requirement that seems to be commonplace any more.

Have these easy giveaways.
And actual challenges that are harder to achieve.
Hell add challenges that most will not even be able to do.
This is what I want.
