Well, i do consistent 200 - 300 damage with this build. But i'm telling you now, it's also wrong.

I take it back, this kind of works. I can do 500 and up to 860 damage with this thing, as long as i am able to shoot my payload. It's mostly for fire support and only works well when you have team with you.

I have to agree with OP to an extent. Yeah sometimes I have a bad game where I just get vaporized right off the bat and don't get a chance to do anything but really, most 'mechs in this game these days have an alpha of 40 or greater. That means you need to get off 5 alpha strikes in a match on any combination of targets to get 200 damage, assuming your 'mech doesn't do even more than 40 damage, which a lot of them do. It's not hard.

What was your damage/battle? Around 500?


I've been playing mostly Timbies (with 3x Large Pulse, 3x ER Med builds) this month, and my heavy leaderboard stats are 1.06 W/L, 1.67 K/D, 276 average MS.
The K/D is only slightly lower than the norm for the MS, but my W/L is way lower, which suggest I haven't been effectively focusing my damage to score kills enough, or just haven't been helping my team out adequately.

Damage done per match = All damage done / All matches played = 453,406 / 988 = ~459 for my SMN-M(L) so I don't have any trouble to deal more than 200 damage and thanks for your information sharing.

I'll try to figure out how to assist my team adequately in future matches.

You know it's funny.. I have tons of screenies of games that i pulled from just barely 200-250, that i have a KMD and 2-3 kills and a bunch of assists.. (typically on my HBK-4G) Doesn't take much to take down a mech that has an open spot with an ac-20



i've had games that were about 300 that had 3 KMMD's though jipped on the kill..


then i've had games that i get 600-700, 3-4 KMMD's and not a single kill or component destroyed..



My point is.. Damage tells very little of the story much of the time

Yeah the 75 team damage is pretty ******. I wasn't paying close enough attention and a friendly and enemy were hugging each other. I kind of dumped an alpha into their leg

Maybe if you played real 'Mechs and not weeb Timberwolves, you might have better matches!

I'm not the kind of person that plays urbanmechs and victors for fun. I'm playing clan tonight but I own ravens, locusts, cicadas, centurions (I never use them because they're out-boated now sadly :/), hunchbacks, a couple phoenix hawks (fun mechs, I love them but I still think they need more armor), archers, black knights, catapults, a dragon i take out every now and then (my first mech.. if only I knew how bad they are after tier 5), a couple marauders, rifleman, thunderbolts, atlases, couple battlemasters, king crabs, and stalkers.

So yes, most of them are mid tier or better, but I don't exclusively play top tier clan mechs either.

So you do have some real 'Mechs in there!

Also note, I'm just poking fun. TBRs are really a bunch of cockroaches on this game. There's no flair to them.

I just enjoy how modular they are. ER sniper, 2xPPC+Gauss poptart, lpls and mediums, small pulse + SRM6+A, MPL WTFBBQ, LRM+meds hybrid skirmisher, medium laser + gauss. It can do it all. I got them when I hadn't earned a lot of mechbays through scouting and invasion so I could have something competitive and flexible. But yes, they're pretty lame otherwise

I couldn't find a good frontal profile view of the Timber Wolf that was large enough/high enough quality for the eyes to be at the cockpit. And thus, here we are. Someone really needs to uninstall GIMP from my computer.
