I honestly don't know why PGI doesn't incorporate QP into FW. Force all players to align themselves with a faction (IS, clan, or merc), each with their benefits and limitations and have the QP players fight for the smaller worlds. The comp units can hook up for the bigger planets for organized battles with higher stakes and rewards. If PGI truly wanted FW to be its main attraction, the game needs to be designed around it. The map, the lobby, top units...everything needs to be front and center as the players log in.

so? does need to be near 100 for you to be happy?. Three matches kicking of on a planet is good enough. If one of those is me then even better.

apparently some people still wan't to play. If matches can still get off the ground then, cool. Only takes a 12 man to be honest, any more just gets things done faster.

I got messages and there have been people telling me that the effort that I am doing to get people back in FW is something that is at least commendable. Seems to me all people wanna do is ***** on the forums. then get out the way then and stay in QP

A better game brings more players which in turn buys more mech packs. Even if they stick to the "IS can only use IS mechs and clans can use clan mechs" rule (which I think is a bad idea), make an exception for mercs. Having no loyalty to a particular faction means having no loyalty to the technology as well.

I'd play more FW if it was better than Phase 2 or Phase 1 for that matter.

Phase 3 is easily worse than all the previous phases, so good luck with convincing other people having waited nearly a year since the previous phase to produce queue clearing feature that was the Long Tom.

I think, at this point, PGI has given up on Faction Warfare entirely. Especially when their plan to fix it involves making it another quick play mode.

I want to play as part of an overall faction, help my faction out, follow the calls of the team leader. I want to be rewarded for taking faction specific mechs, be penalized for taking mechs from outside of my faction. I want to play something with objectives that go beyond "kill everybody". I want to see my efforts mean something in the grand scheme of things. I want to see the full roster of players for my faction, whether or not they're on my friends list.

I don't want to get stomped as a pug, so I need to play as a 12-man, but I don't want to spend half an hour between every match because some guy has to go eat dinner or put his kids to bed, I don't want to feel like I'm letting everyone down if I only have an hour or so to burn and can only stick around for two matches. I don't want to join a unit only to be obligated to show up twice a week for training. I don't want to play in a scouting mode that doesn't actually resemble scouting and one side has a very clear advantage over the other...

I like faction warfare when the conditions are right, but the way PGI has set it up makes it a really uphill battle to play. When I have time to kill and I get an invite to a 12 man, usually filling for units that are short on a few players, I have a great time. The rest of the time, it's a lesson in frustration. If I'm going to repeatedly beat my head against the wall, at least Quick Play gets me in a match in under five minutes.

And to think that they were so attached to the cool explosion effect, that they were not willing to accept that it was a mistake... even after CW became a nuclear wasteland.

Sometimes I think that we are thinking about ideas and concepts on a much higher level than what PGI has in mind.
