I have a suggestion for the game in the long term future.
I would have some quests that interact between warring factions and have players pinned against eachother and whoever survives that gamemode can potentially salvage the mechs defeated while the players defeated would have a repair bill to pay.
Also it would be cool to be able get out of a downed mech and be on foot and either flee or fight with anti-mech weaponry.
This could potentially add classes or characters to the game such as engineer , long range missile user , surveilance type unit etc. Which could potentially add a new game mode which pins ground forces against a incoming mech and you have a time limit to down the mech before it destroys what you are defending etc.

I would like this game to not be battlefield 3 and show some unique gamemodes to the mechwarrior universe.

Please feel free to contact me for ideas

edit: ideas from the original Amiga battletech game and the first mechwarrior game should be essential as those games were the best of the series by far!

This here's MechWarrior, son. We do our fightin' with 'Mechs. Ain't gonna be no gettin' outta our 'Mechs to fight on foot. Only thing soldiers are good for is steppin' on.

Fighting outside your Mech?

We've heard that suggestion a couple of times already.

Just No.

This idea typically stems from a desire to still be involved in the game and make a contribution of some sort should yourr Mechwarrior be severed from his mech in the middle of the battle. While I understand your desire to keep playing lets look at a couple of factors. A Mechwarrior ejected from there mech at best is going to be dressed in a pair of short and a T-shirt (typical clothing for a mech warrior due to the heat generated in the cockpit). Even if we took liberty to say the mechwarrior was strapped and had a laser pistol, what possible use could he be to his lancemate? Yes ground pounders can have an effect on any given battle, but they come prepared for the job, not drop out of the sky with a parachute half dressed. Let's leave the fighting to those who are still equipped too fight the good fight.

How does this sound?
intergrate airborne assets (we are playing a game with multi Dimensions) players from your company/lance can choose S&R (search and rescue) or Mech Recovery.
If your Mech becomes damaged to the point you have to punch out. You call for a S&R Team to come retrieve you understand they(S&R Team) can still get taken out during the rescue attempt or crash. Would the S&R pilot have weapons yes to what extent I dont know. Upon you reaching a safe zone or back to a drop ship you could either enter a new mech in your inventory or wait to have the Mech Recovery Team(similar to S&R) pick up your Mech and repair it and return to the fight. What would be the time frame on repairs? Again I dont have an answer for that. With that said in order to get people to play these rolls give XP in the areas they could use to become better at those particular roles, stealth, better tools for repair, and of course C bills to purchase better engines faster cranes for recovery of mech etc.

thoughts?
