I loved all the HBS merchandise ... but I didn't back to the level required because I just could never imagine myself having anywhere that I could actually wear it without looking like some ridiculous old guy :(

However, if they offer figurines and models... my wallet will be open.

True.

I have a feeling HBS just blew everything at MechCon out of the water, including their own presentations and Alpha. Not just with the merch - It was a solid update all around. Unless they demo melee at the Con, I don't think anything's going to top all of this for anyone interested in both projects.

PGI's presentation just got cut to 15 minutes. ;)

Same here. I try to keep my nerddom related to my desk only (as much as possible).

IRL I'm a cool guy! Seriously!

The hats they did previously were pretty good. Wear mine all the time.

Since Topps is involved, more likely to something along the line of statues or models.

The only confirmed thing about Topps is that they've allowed HBS to make some merchandise, which is unsurprising since they have the rights to physical goods. There's no reason to think they'll have direct influence over the products offered - After all, if Topps was going to sell Topps brand Mechwarrior stuff, they'd probably just do it themselves, or work directly with PGI.

Also, HBS, bring back the K'nex kits!

The partnership could work like this
Topps provide the physical toy rights.
PGI provide the 3D model designs.
HBS manage the production and distribution.

There is no need for PGI to get involve, if HBS is just making more prints and apparels.

I'm soooo totally keen on a Mad Cat scale model with actual modular omnipods so you can customize the loadout of your model. Bonus points if it's poseable

3D Printing of your 'Mechs - export from MWO and get it printed and painted just like it as you've built it in the 'Mech lab.

That's been my dream for MWO and Star Trek Online, be nice if it was an option for both...

The only thing I would be interested in would be something like a real life cockpit statue. To put on my desk. Or in my car.

I'm not walking around other people rocking a Summoner-motif leather jacket, Clan Wolf dogtags and a "Yes we can" Kerensky 2020 t-shirt.

The HBS early pre-Alpha kicks serious *** actually, so the bar is set rather high.

I just came here to post exactly this, and wondered if this was Russ's big Mech_Con announcement for MWO: physical goods and swag.

He tweeted 45$ should be fine for all 3 items being offered
One of them will be a cap with the mechcon logo

https://twitter.com/...388887657648128

So not sure it's what you're hoping for

HBS also wrote that they do a "crowdfunding" for the items
As in
They're not gonna syphon money from the game, and will only make merch that holds enough interest

Well this HBS thing came up later and I believe Russ was only referring to what MWO was selling merchandise wise because they don't have any merchandise rights.

Oh, neat. Sounds really interesting, but I probably won't pay much attention since HBS is working on pre-Clan stuff so-

Clans are included in this run.

Well, it's going to suck if they offer all 20 clan emblems and not just the invasion ones. Because someone is going to get the shaft. I'm sure any Successor State items that may be offered will clear the required numbers.

And no, before you go quoting me, you know who, I'm sure there's enough Diamond Sharks running around to clear that hurdle, if it does present itself (Though probably unlikely).

If it was, then Mitch Weiss just screwed him.

Hard.

If that hurdle appears, I'm going to goddamn marry the thing, have 4 beautiful children with it, retire to live in the countryside in my later years, and die in its arms just to get the chance of Clan Diamond Shark merch, no matter how unlikely.

Will it be mech statues? Like those nice 3D prints people made? I'd love a founders catapult... I'd take any catapult that is bigger than 10cm for my desk... that would be awesome.

I need a nova plushie (but I guess making an urbie is more realistical to sell, or a TBR/atlas)
