All those who begged, threatened and screamed for a single player story driven Mechwarrior title who can now set their sights on 2018 and change their pants..... and you have the hide to ask why it isn't multiplayer (co-op or not)?

And it's still very early in the game's development. PGI could totally add co-op in later down the line. And who knows, maybe pestering them about it will increase the chances we see co-op

In fact.... I can't recall the last time I played a game that had a good in depth story line/campaign plus had good co-op.
There always seemed to be a problem with coordinating the story amongst the players, who had lead, what happened if one player hit a story point while others were still in the think of things, keeping the group together etc.
If it has it, well, yay. If not, I would think that it would be easier to implement co-op elements in MWO through mission based objectives with some AI elements mixed in. Faction Play seems ripe for that sort of addition.
With the new Escort mode coming in a few days, this seems a far more likely direction.

What's that? PGI is doing MW5. Hard pass from me on that one. Hard pass from a lot of MWO players on that one.

Cause many of us really want a new Mechwarrior Campaign first off.
Second, having any sort of 'multi-play' would be a grey area infringing upon the turf of MWO.
Third, I'd personally rather them concentrate on making MW5 a great single player campaign/story experience first and foremost. If that leads into a co-op mode later on so be it, if not maybe we'll get something like co-op PVE missions in MWO. The heights of that hope is that after completing MW5, PGI will then use its framework to re-establish MWO onto the newly constructed framework that they created while making MW5.

Asking for PvE co-op.
There's a difference.
Companies are clueing into it. Except PGI

X people buy single player
Y% out of those X people would buy a copy to their friend/girlfriend/boyfriend to play together
Company would see an Y% increase in sales
Only question that remains is - would Y% cover the additional development costs

I'll buy MW5M from PGI. But I won't pre-order it. And I will definitely read reviews before making that purchase.
Only idiots pre-order games.

Well, you have two plus YEARS to whine and complain enough for them to maybe put it in sometime after 2018, IF they meet that deadline - lol.
What we need now is a separate MW5 forums since this one is about MWO.

1) Get a big *** desk or two smaller ones.
2) Put your rig next your buddy's.
3) Launch MW5 at the same time.
4) Just pretend it's the same game.
