The Dragonfire is the 75 tonner we need. High mounts, ecm & a P.P.C (projected phallus cannon)
I'd love the Cerberus but it's behind the Nightstar for me.
Again, it's all about high mounts. That's sorta the problem.

Yup. EDIT: Specifically, 'yup' to the opinion bit. The rest of it is baseless assumption.
But you are WRONG. The Anvil looks exactly like most of the early, FASA made (Not You Know What) TRO designs. I don't know where in the hell you're getting this 'Not like Battletech' thing.
What kind of shifting ******** is this. Are you against the Anvil because it's a player made design (Which I still would like proof of), or because it doesn't 'look Battletech' (Which is most certainly does)? Make up your mind on what basis you want mechs to be included.
Dude. People want the Anvil. It comes up pretty frequently. Does it have a Mad Cat MK II following? No, but very few mechs are left with that kind of pull.
A handful of people have named the Anvil. Prior to this thread if you'd put up a poll with 20 IS heavy mechs on it and had the Anvil in the list and just told them to rate them first to last the majority would have to check Sarna for what mech the Anvil even is.
It's in the same category as the Black Lanner. Barely rates a 'meh'. The only reason it's relevant here is high hardpoints and it's unlikely to get the Kodiak treatment where the hardpoint inflation goes UP instead of chest level.
Oh, by the way? 'Look like Battletech'?

That's just a couple of them.
A focus on function over form, etc. etc.
Again, this isn't about your opinion or mine. It's the aggregate. The Anvil (like the majority of mechs in TROs 3048 and later) isn't that popular or relevant, it's pretty much just filler. It's got high mounts, JJs and ECM at 60 tons - which is an unfortunate tonnage.
Not that I'm sure Alex couldn't remake it pretty... but why not just make a new mech?
