Weapons normailzed between Clans and IS; Clans components health reduced; heat penalty increased for SRMs/SSRMs; TC "nerf"...Clan buff? I foresee you need to reread the patch notes.

Yeah, right because there are many clan mech running a TC V. And component health is a crucial thing ...
(S)SRM Heat penalty was increased for IS, too.
But no problem. I even currently don't play any IS mech I own, so no change. Just joining the winning side ... HBKIIC for teh win.
The MADII-C will outclass any IS assault mech ... if there wouldn't be already the Kodiak ...

The CDHS change is a buff for the Clans, as the benefit greatly outweighs the drawback. Others are normalization. TC MKV nerf is nothing. Not many loadouts use TC MK V in the first place.
I'm gonna be driving Clan mechs for sure, if not switching to Clan faction out right.

True, not many mechs run a TC mk5, but my impression is that it's about the same amount of mechs that run clan ACs. It's not the UACs that are buffed, just the basic ones.

Ah, yes true. I misread that, I thought C-UAC were buffed.

The big nerfs to SRMs are a shame, given long-ranged play styles are already making the game very campy. Now those of us who try to take out the long range gauss/ERPPC campers in SRM strikers will have an even tougher time.

Do we see a decrease to 1.1 in three months again ??

...still a bit disappointed that I have to go Loyalist to build out my Loyalty Points but I understand the reasons for this. That being said, I am looking forward to Tuesday. Not just to pick up my shiny new Marauder IIc, but also to give all these new things a spin.
Well done PGI. A nice strong finish to an otherwise 'meh' year.

I don't know; the Marauder IIC isn't looking too good to me.
Downsides of the mech:
It is really big, almost as tall as a Battlemaster.
Most of the hardpoints are low mounted.
No quirks.

Gauss Rifle

• Component Health increased to 10 (from 5)
Clan Gauss Rifle
• Max Range reduced to 1320 (from 1980)
• Explosion Chance increased to 100% (from 90%)
Gauss Design Notes: We're removing the 3x Maximum Range on Gauss to keep them consistent with the other direct-fire pinpoint weapons available. In addition to this we're rolling over some of the changes from the Energy Draw PTS to further differentiate the larger, heavier Inner Sphere Gauss Rifles from their Clan counterpart, without affecting their offensive characteristics.
You could try "reducing Innersphere explosion chance to about 60% instead of creating a bomb out of clan gauss... on top of max range nerf.

At least IS got better dissipation so it can match the DPS with the same number of heatsinks.
That being said, this change makes high alpha laser vomit much more forgiving...

Wait, ppl use IS SSRM2s?
The Marauder IIc is almost all laser vomit, not exactly going to break the game by any means..

Clans have the best short range laser (CSPL) and the best long range laser (CLPL). All that is left for IS is the mid range with IS LPL.
I'll bet we will see a lot of 2xLPL 6xERML or SPL Marauders filled to the brim with heat sinks.
