Oh my god, it would be an awesome easter egg if they were actual high speed tacos being shot out. You can opt between hard/soft shell...taco bell would sponsor and PGI would be able to fund MW5...

Not happening. The ability to toggle taco hardness ammo is lostech.

WHY WOULD ANYONE WANT THAT?

You might want to ask that question again after the Devs have done the first pass on trying to balance Clan vs. IS after removing quirks, etc. There are rumors/suggestions of changing how Clan XL engines function after torso damage.

What!? no dude, don't spread that crap, it's contagious and it is crap.

Like seriously, can there be a lull in the seemingly infectious calls for balance based off of someone's assessment, that then get's enough momentum to attract the YES lemmings, where at which point it reaches critical mass and causes a bloody ******* hemorrhage on the forum.

Well, if cXL does end up being nerfed, i won't need to ask that question, because clan standard engines would actually have a place in the game then.

I haven't heard anything like that.

And most of the Clan omni's would NOT have a place in the game...

It's a sacrifice i'd be willing to make.
I'll shed a crocodile's tear for every single one of them.

And that is a very valid point Gas, and something I think a lot of people either chose to ignore, or don't fully understand the implications it would have for the non-apex clan Omni's...

Yeah, well you are incredibly biased, so I don't care.

Its nonsensical as there is a proven method to balance them already there, that doesn't involve ruining so many mechs.

Like I said above, there are simply better solutions than ruining things for mechs with locked XL engines. Either use quirks which has worked in the past, or do the IS XL engine buffs people have suggested, and the associated STD engine buffs to keep them relevant.

What method?
Quirks?

Might as well treat an amputated limb with a pink band-aid. Posted Image

We had pretty good parity before because of quirks, and then the quirks got nerfed. I don't really have a problem with them if they are done correctly, I don't see what the issue is. That is a MUCH better alternative that hamstringing mechs that are forced to take XL engines.

You could also buff IS XL and STD engines. IS XL behaves like Clan XL, STD engines offer some form of buff (durability, agility, some of both).
